The Card Concept Challenge #139-Summer Harvest

Hello my stampy friends!
So glad to see you again!
I took a break during the summer and now I am so happy to be back!
My husband and I did not travel or anything this summer, just stayed home.
I did manage to go to the beach with my sister for a few days in August, and it was heaven!

And now the summer is almost over!
I'm looking forward to cooler days.

On to my Clean & Layered Style card....

I was inspired by the beautiful yellow and greens in our newest Inspiration Photo

here at The Card Concept

I had recently bought this stamp set from Stampin Up called SEE THE GOOD

I fell in love with the pear images right away, and thought they would be a beautiful yellow for the photo.

I used my Misti and stamped the pears with Archival Sunflower ink. Next I added Archival Orange Blossom around the edges with an ink dauber, before stamping again. It made the pears look so realistic! I fussy cut the pears and attached them to a panel of  Whisper White card stock that had been dry embossed with a Stampin Up embossing folder called Tasteful Textures.

Im so glad to be back!
I hope I have inspired you to come join us!!!

The Card Concept Challenge # 138-Summer Fun

Welcome to another challenge starting today at the

What a wonderful summer photo!
I always love a nautical scene and the colors that go with it!

That is what inspired my Inside Scene Pop-Up card:

I watched a video by the fabulously talented Jennifer McQuire showing how to create an
Inside Scene Pop-Up card.
Her video can be found HERE.

It is hard to tell in the photo, but the scene pops out when you open the card!!

I created the scene with stamps, ink and markers!

The Card Concept Challenge #137

Hello my stampy friends!
Welcome to a new challenge starting today
at the Card Concept!

I know this is someone's idea of a perfect summer day.
Fishing on the lake in the mountains surrounded by the  forest!!!

The forest inspired my card for this challenge.
When I think of a forest, I think
of critters! Bears, deer, and foxes!!!

I stamped the fox with black Memento ink onto Copic friendly white card stock. I colored the fox with Copic markers and then fussy cut him out.

I created the background by sponging with Stampin Up inks.
I added trees and grass with a stamp.
I die cut it with a circle die and popped up the fox on it with foam adhesive.
