The Card Concept

It's snow time at the Card Concept!!!
Isn't this inspiration board sweet????
LOVE!

And here is my card:

I was inspired by the sweet snowman and that wooden sign to create my  card.

The snowman is a Penny Black die that I have had for a very long time and will always be a favorite of mine! I die cut the snowman out of heavy white card stock, then added a little shading with colored pencils and a blending tool.  The background was created with a snow stencil and LOTS of splatters of white acrylic paint.

I believe the style of my card would be considered
 Mixed Media.

*2 or more mediums
(inks, embossing powder, pencils, pastels, watercolor, charcoal, pigments, etc.)
*May include dimensionals (embossing paste, gesso, fabric, papers, foil)
*May include heated elements
*Can be a variety of styles (CAS, Graphic, Shabby Chic, Grunge)
*Basically use 2 or more mediums qualifies as Mixed Media

The Card Concept Challenge # 128-Be Mine Valentine!

I love, love, love the bold graphics and colors in our inspiration photo
for our new challenge starting today at The Card Concept!
I always love red, black & white together!

I decided to make a Clean & Simple style card.

This card was made mostly with dies cuts!

The only stamping were the red splatters.

And I couldn't resist...so I made another Clean & Simple style card!

The main emphasis with this card is the ribbon and lace!

A very simple layout that just pops!!!!

The style of my card is considered Clean & Simple:

One main image
Lots of open space
Limited layers and embellishements
Quick & easy to create

I hope I have inspired you to join us here at

The Card Concept Challenge # 127-Cozy Cabin

Is it freezing in your neck of the woods????
We had high 60's for the last 2 weeks and NOW
it is only in the 30's! BRRRRR!

Our newest Inspiration Challenge features a very cold day
with beautiful snow, which we rarely have here in Charlotte!
Darn it!

The peaceful, neutral colors and the reindeer on the pretty pillows inspired my card.

I stamped the image on Copic friendly card stock with black Memento ink, then I colored the images with Copic Markers.

I embossed woodgrain pattern paper for the background to resemble the log cabin.

I just love this image and how it is framed by those scalloped die cuts!

The style of my card would be considered

CLEAN & LAYERED

The Card Concept Challenge

 Happy 2020!
I can't believe it is here!

The Card Concept has a fantastic inspiration board
starting today that is perfect to start off the New Year!

All of the gold and silver and black colors
inspired my Clean & Layered Style card .

I pulled out an older Gear Embossing folder to create the background. I thought it fit the theme!

The rest of the card was done with various dies and foil papers from Tim Holtz. The white stars were cut from white glitter paper. And I added lots of dimension with silver foil crystals and sparkly enamel dots!

The style of my card would be considered
