The Card Concept Challenge #145-Festive Celebrations

Hello my stampy friends!!!
We are back with another challenge here at

It is December 1rst!!!!
WOW!
The holiday season is upon us and this inspiration board reflects just that!
I love gold and black!

I was inspired by the gold and black to create my Mixed Media  Style card. I started with a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor card stock.  I applied Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress inks onto a craft mat, then spritzed them with a water spray. I dipped the watercolor card stock into the ink mixture over and over until I got the colored results I wanted. After it was dry, I stenciled some snowflakes with Vintage Photo Distress ink. I also stamped a script stamp all over the panel.

I used the snowflake stencil again to stencil snowflakes onto some black card stock with gold ink. I  stamped all over this with some stamp images , then heat embossed the images with gold embossing powder. I used  Spellbinders Distressed Edge dies to cut both panels.

I stamped the poinsettia on distressed water color paper as well with Versamark ink. I  heat embossed the poinsettia with gold embossing powder. I die cut some holly leaves and pine boughs  with gold foil paper, then placed them behind the sentiment.

The style of my card would be

 Mixed Media

2 or more mediums

    (inks,embossing powder, pencils,watercolor, ets)

May include dimensionals

(Embossing paste, gesso, fabric, papers, foil)

May include heated elements

Can be a variety of styles

(Clean & Simple, Graphic, Shabby Chic, Grunge)

I hope I have inspired you to join us here at
