The Card Concept Challenge # 173 - Vintage Style

Hello my stampy friends!
Happy Spring!

So glad that you stopped by to see what's happening at the

We have a vintage theme this time.
It is so pretty!

The birds and the pink flowers inspired my
Mixed Media Style Card:

Two or more mediums (for ex: inks, embossing powder, pencils, pastels, watercolor, charcoal, markers, pigments, mica powder, etc.)
May include dimensionals- embossing paste, gesso, fabric, found objects, papers, foils
May include heated elements- encaustic wax, embossing
Can be a variety of styles- CAS, Graphic, Shabby Chic, Grunge
Basically use of two or more mediums qualifies as Mixed Media

Here is my card:

I stamped the back panel with a pretty floral background stamp. I used Ground Espresso Archival ink and water color paper. Next, I stamped the birds and flowers also, with the same ink onto water color paper.  I then painted the flowers and birds with my Gansai Tambi watercolors. I added a few shadows with my colored pencils.

The background panel was very busy, so I found a piece of pretty pink vellum in my paper stash to place the focal images on so they wouldn't get lost on the background.
I added a sentiment strip to complete the card.

I hope I have inspired you to join our challenge!
