The Card Concept Challenge # 116 - Pink Retro

Who had a record player similar to this when you were a teen- ager???
I did! I did! Yes, I'm that old!!!! I loved my 45's!!!

I was so inspired by the bold colors!
One of my favorite combinations-Pink, Black and Silver!!!!

Here is my card:

I didn't have any stamps with record images! Oh No!
So... I had to use my imagination! And Boy did I !!!
PINK records????

I used the SSS stamp set Lots of Dots and to create my pink records!

I added some musical notes and the perfect sentiment for this fun birthday card.

The style of my card would be considered Clean & Simple:

One main image
Lots of open space
Limited layers and embellishements
Quick & easy to create

The Card Concept Challenge #115- Mosaic Madness

Welcome to another challenge here
at the Card Concept!
I love these rich warm colors!

I had bought this stamp from Simon Says awhile back, but I had not used it yet.  I am usually not attracted to this style of stamp, but I had seen so many beautiful cards made with it, I just had to buy it!!! Honestly, I have been a little intimidated by it, so it just sat on my desk.  Until I saw what our challenge would be!
I thought it would be perfect for this challenge!

Here is my card:

I stamped the image with Potting Soil Archival ink onto some smooth white Neenah card stock.

I have also been afraid of colored pencils! I put my big girl pants on and pulled out the Prisma pencils. I found out that I really enjoyed coloring with pencils!!! How about that???

The style of my card would be considered

Classy & Elegant:
Polished
Shiny finish
Sparkling embellishments
Rich color scheme
Sophisticated sentiments
Regal
Sweeping
Dramatic
Monochromatic
Layered Testures
Awe & Impress

Paper Sweeties May 2019 Release Party!

Hello Sweeties!
Welcome to the
May 2019 Paper Sweeties Release!

Here are the New Releases!
They are so incredible!

Here is my card!

First, I stamped the flowers with VersaMark ink onto white watercolor paper. Next, I heat embossed the image with silver embossing powder.

I colored the flowers with water colors, as well as the background. Then added lots of splatters of blue, white and silver!

I heat embossed the sentiment with silver, too. Then it was attached to the card with foam tape.

I really love how this mixed media style card turned out!

The Card Concept Challenge #114-Galoshes Galore

It's spring time and that usually means spring showers!!!

So, Galoshes Galore is the perfect photo inspiration
I want the pink polka dot boots!!!!
So cute!

The colorful, flower filled boots inspired me to create this card:

I stamped the rain boots on watercolor paper with Simon Says Barely Beige ink.
I then watercolored the boots with Ranger Distress inks.

The flowers on the front panel were stamped with ArchivaPotting Soil ink and
then colored them with  Gansai Tambi water colors.

The frame was created with the  MFT Square Peek-A-Boo Frame.

The style of my card would be considered

CLEAN & LAYERED
~Clean lines
~Lots of Layers
~Designer papers, embossing
~Embellishments/accents
~Clean & Fresh looking
~Some colored images
~White space

Please join us and create a card or project using any of the  styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.
