Prima Doll Christmas Tag

I made this fun tag with one of the Prima doll stamps called Riley.
Isn't she cute???
I started by coloring the tag with Barn Door and Peeled Paint Distress inks. I then shaded the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress ink. After I stamped the tag with a script background stamp, (which I have no idea where I got , but sure have enjoyed using this year), I added some texture to the card with a Sizzix snowflake embossing folder.
I paper pieced the dress on the doll and added some lace to the hem. I made her some shiny shoes with Glossy Accents. I added some wooden snowflakes and red gems. Oh yeah, the ribbon was stained with more Barn Door Distress ink!

Poinsettias

Happy Hump Day!!!  Sorry....I just love that GEICO commercial!
And I do love Wednesdays, especially when it is time for the

I made this beautiful card with the Tim Holtz Season Silhouettes Stamp set. First I stamped the background paper with Old Paper Distressed Ink. I distressed the edges and then sewed it to another piece of designer paper. The holly leaves are also from this stamp set. They were stamped in Peeled Paint distress ink . I fussy cut the holly leaves and adhered them behind the poinsettias.
The poinsettias were cut with my Silhouette Portrait machine. I just LOVE that thing!!!!
I added some lace to the middle and green tulle behind the poinsettias on the lower right corner.

Be Merry!

Hi guys! Hope you have had a fantastic weekend! It has been kinda gloomy here in the Piedmont, but warm. So I can't complain! I just hope the weather stays good for tomorrow night, so the Panthers can whoop up on the Patriots!!!! Grrrrrrrowwwwlll!!!!!
Enough about all that....
I wanted to share a card that I made this afternoon.

 I loosely followed

And I think it turned out so cute!!!
The Christmas tree is a Simon Says die. I cut it out in white card stock and then colored the branches with Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks. This die actually cuts out ornaments and a star too, but I wanted to add some dimension. So I used red sequins and a Tim Holtz mirrored star that I colored with a Copic marker.
The sketch called for some type of horizontal line on the background, so I decided to use the sentiment and Christmas lights from a real cute stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Peace Joy Love.  I colored the little lights with my Copics.

Hope you like my card!

Christmas Tag!

Happy Tuesday everybody!!!!
Hope you are all having a good day!

I just wanted to pop in and share a mixed media Christmas tag!

I was inspired to make this card by the Funky Junkie's Week # 6 of Christmas Tags

( I have only made 2 or 3 of the tags so far! Her's are so beautiful!)

I just received a new Tim Holtz stamp set form 7Kids College Fund store and I knew it would be perfect for this tag! I started by collaging some paper with Modge Podge from a real pretty paper pad called Santa's List by Teresa Collins.
One of the papers I punched with my EK notebook paper punch. See it on the upper right? I then stenciled some snow on the tag with my Simon Says Snow stencil.
The tree was colored with some Peeled Paint distress ink, and then I fussy cut it out. I added some snow to the limbs by heat embossing some white powder on them. And a little bit below the tree to make it look like it had fallen on the ground. I attached the tree, the red glittered numbers and a star to a torn corrugated ATC card. The sentiment was stamped on a wood veneer tag from Studio Calico. I distressed it with some Frayed Burlap. Barn Door, and Peeled Paint  distress inks.

The wreath is a favorite stamp that  I have had for a very long time. I love it because you can use it for any season. On this card I heat embossed it in brown on vellum. The berries are enamel dots.
I heat embossed the sentiment in red. Very simple, very pretty!
Unfortunately I missed the deadline to Curtain Call! Maybe next week!

Exciting News!!!!

I have some very exciting news to share!!!!
I have been invited to join the design team at

Yay!!! I am so excited!!!
And...they have a fabulous store to shop from!
7 Kids College Fund Store

So please visit the store!
I will post links at the end of my blog of any supplies that I use, that are available in the store!

Now onto my card.

I used many different techniques for this card and it was so much fun!
I started with some watercolor paper. I stamped it with a text stamp in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder, so I could do some fun resist techniques.
I took the Old Paper Distress ink pad and tapped it directly on a stamping block. I misted the block with water and then placed it directly over the embossed paper. This gives you an awesome watercolor effect. See how it resisted the embossed text?

Next I inked & stamped the entire panel with a background splatter dotted stamp in Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.. Cool, huh?
Then the prettiness starts! I applied Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose, Frayed Burlap and Peeled Paint  to my craft mat. Then I misted my MFT Blooming Roses stamp with water and ran the stamp directly onto the inks on the craft mat. Again, you get this cool watercolor effect.
I stenciled the MFT Rose Builder rose on top of the stamped image.
I made that pretty flower with my Tim Holtz Tattered Flower Garden die. Added a Tim Holtz metal flower & brad to the center of the flower. Stamped the sentiment from the Stamper's Anonymous -Simple Sayings stamp set. Attached this with some twine underneath tied in a big loopy bow. I hope you can see I adhered some torn vellum paper behind the sentiment and flower.

And this was my card!

I hope I was able to explain the techniques clearly.
I learned about this from watching You Tube!
 (I love You Tube!!!)

I hope you are able to join us at 7Kids College Fund Challenge blog!
I f you make an entry you might win a gift certificate to the 7Kids College Fund store!
It is always fun to go shopping! Good luck and I hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
