Friends till the End

Today's card is based on two challenges!
The sketch is inspired by the Week 3 Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge:

Bright Pink, Black & Grey!
Hot cha cha!!!!!
My camera would NOT capture the correct colors,
no matter how much I fussed with the lighting or Picassa! I promise this is Hot Pink and Gray!
The sentiment is from the Making a Statement (Verve) stamps set.
I just love this saying!

I used  6 different dies for this card!  And an embossing folder!
My Big Shot got a great work out!

Hope you like my card! Let me know!
I just love your feedback!

The Challenge:

CFC19:  Use paper piecing on your Fall themed Clean And Simple project

Well...I LOVE to paper piece with stamps and one of my favorite seasons is FALL!
So I knew I would enjoy this CAS-ual Fridays challenge!
So here is what I came up with:

I used some new Hero Art Stamps that I just got. I stamped the background with the stamp set called Flower Bursts with Crumbcake (SU) ink. I then stamped the Small Open Flower stamp on some paper from the K&CO. paper pad-Que Sera, with Early Espresso(SU) ink.
The word Kindness is also from a Hero Arts stamp set.
I made a double bow with some seam binding and added a button and some twinery...and there you go!
Clean and Simple!

Thanks for stopping by! I love reading your comments!

Happy Birthday!

My card today has been inspired by the very talented Amy Sheffer!
This card is based on the sketch she created for this week's
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtylxKa48cioxB6VJLVtPR0TekvhhbmvVWeFWaLQSHbchh-bM_MCQ6XU3B-5Fj5ZCcNOmgq8z3YS8kvbnpOC2BnM4IN0pIKLSu1880JrTGtYRhrjOFAvnssdOnpayKTw9l25blhP_r-FWn/s1600/VLVSEP11Week2Sketch.jpg

This fun flower was made by using the Mother's Day 2011 Cricut cartridge and my Cricut Expression die cutting machine. I used Watercolor Bouquet by K& CO. paper for this card, because of all the purple colors. I am making this card for a very good friend, whose favorite color is Purple!
I distressed the edges of the dark pink petals. I then crumpled and rolled the other petals. Layered them together and added some bling!
Hopefully you can see this in the photo.

The tag is one of the new dies by Verve. It is called the Tiny Sweet Scallop Die Set
I love this die set! It also comes in a larger size! And of course, stamps to match!
The sentiments are from a Stamps of Life stamp set called minis4circles.

I hope my friend likes her birthday card!  Thanks for stopping by!

You're the apple of my eye!

Well...it is time to start off a new month of Viva la Verve Sketches! Woo Hoo! I hope to create something with every sketch this month! They are always so much fun and so challenging! Keeps me interested!!!
This fantastic sketch is by Amber Hight. I had to think about this one for awhile! It is tall!
The directions were to cut the cardstock at 7" by 6.5" and score the 7" side at 3.5".

I started by going through some papers that I had just bought from Michael's  and I saw this apple pattern paper. It is from a K&CO paper pad called Greenhouse. I knew it would go with a new die and stamp set set that I had purchased recently from Paper Trey Ink called Fruit Fusion-Apple. I love the PTI stamps! They always stamp perfectly!  And of course the Stampin Up Riding Hood Red ink was my first choice of ink. I just LOVE this red! I distressed the edges of the back panel. I used the Vintage Oval Frame Die (Verve) in green polka dots paper and stamped the border with the matching stamp in the red ink.

I put some tan seam binding behind the Vintage Oval cuts. Then I  tied a red button and twine to the sentiment tags.

Hope you like this card! I love reading your comments! They make my day!
