You're the apple of my eye!

Well...it is time to start off a new month of Viva la Verve Sketches! Woo Hoo! I hope to create something with every sketch this month! They are always so much fun and so challenging! Keeps me interested!!!
This fantastic sketch is by Amber Hight. I had to think about this one for awhile! It is tall!
The directions were to cut the cardstock at 7" by 6.5" and score the 7" side at 3.5".

I started by going through some papers that I had just bought from Michael's  and I saw this apple pattern paper. It is from a K&CO paper pad called Greenhouse. I knew it would go with a new die and stamp set set that I had purchased recently from Paper Trey Ink called Fruit Fusion-Apple. I love the PTI stamps! They always stamp perfectly!  And of course the Stampin Up Riding Hood Red ink was my first choice of ink. I just LOVE this red! I distressed the edges of the back panel. I used the Vintage Oval Frame Die (Verve) in green polka dots paper and stamped the border with the matching stamp in the red ink.

I put some tan seam binding behind the Vintage Oval cuts. Then I  tied a red button and twine to the sentiment tags.

Hope you like this card! I love reading your comments! They make my day!
