Paper Sweeties September 2016 Release Party!

Hello my stampy friends!
It is RELEASE DAY here at PAPER SWEETIES!
And they are FABULOUS!!!!

I began my card by stamping pumpkins and sunflowers from the new THANKFUL stamp set onto Bristol smooth paper with black Archival ink. I watercolored the images with Distress inks. I set them aside to dry, while I stamped several leaves with green ink and fussy cut them out. There is a matching Sweet Cut for the leaves, but I think it is easier to just fussy cut when you have several little images like these leaves. When the pumpkins and sunflowers were dry, I used their matching Sweet Cuts and cut them out!

I softly sponged the background with Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron Distress inks. Next, I stamped the background with the wreath from the older Paper Sweeties  Hello Spring stamp set a couple of times in a SU Soft Suede ink.  The sentiment is from the new THANKS Sweet Cuts. I die cut the sentiment 4 times and glued them together to give them some depth.
And finally, I put all the images together! I hope you like the final outcome!

Paper Sweeties September 2016 Release Sneak Peek!

Hello my stampy friends!!!
It is September 14th and that means it is time for SNEAK PEEKS of the newest stamps and dies to be released here at PAPER SWEETIES !

I created the background by stamping the sentiments from the new September Release-THANKFUL- over and over again on to kraft card stock with Versamark ink. I then sprinkled the entire stamped panel with clear embossing powder and heat set it.

I stamped the flowers from the same stamp set onto some Tim Holtz watercolor paper. I colored the flowers with Distress inks and water. Next, I dried them thoroughly with my heat gun and die cut them with their matching Sweet Cuts! The last thing I did to the flowers was add some black Flower Soft to their centers. This added great texture to the card!

I stamped lots of leaves with SU Pear Pizazz and fussy cut them out.
The brown squiggles are die cut with the older SWEET BORDERS Sweet Cut! (One of my most favorite Sweet Cuts sets!!!)
And then I put everything together!

Please come back tomorrow for another look at how to use these new September Releases!

The Card Concept Challenge #57

Hello everybody! We're BAAAACCK!!!!
The team here at The Card Concept is back from their summer break and ready to get rockin!!!
So...welcome back!!! I hope you are ready to play!

Our Challenge this time is RAINBOWS!

I was inspired by the rows of rainbow colors!

I had so much fun creating my card for this challenge...

That I made two!!!!

They are slightly different from each other.
First I used my SPD Notched Heart Journal die and die cut several scraps of colored card stock to get some rainbow colors! It made lots and lots of hearts. Next I die cut another in white card stock. I used the white positive die cut and layered the colored hearts into the negative spaces! I hope this makes sense!

I hope I have inspired you to join us here at
We LOVE seeing your creations!

The team is divided into different styles! Each designer will explain how they were inspired by the challenge!  The styles are explained HERE.
Come join us! Try your hand at a brand new "style" of card making or work in your comfort zone, it is totally up to you!

Tag You're It! #55

Hello!!!
I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day! It was a beautiful day here!
So...I spent the time indoors with some crafty friends! ha!

When I saw this beautiful tag created by Melissa Bickford at the current
Tag You're It Challenge, I was inspired to play along!

That big flower is from the Handwritten Floral Greetings stamp set that I received in my July card kit from Simon Says Stamps.

I stamped and heat embossed the bloom with white embossing powder and then colored it with my Zig Clean Colors brush pens. The fun papers are from Stampin Up.
I just LOVE this color combo!

Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Sweeties September 2016 Inspiration Challenge

This card was selected as a Show Stopper at the Curtain Call Challenge! YAY!

Welcome to the September Paper Sweeties Inspiration ChallengeI cannot believe it is September!!!!! Where has the summer gone? I miss it already!

I love the red, black and yellow colors of our
September Inspiration Board:

I thought a big bowl of red, delicious apples would be perfect for a September card!

I die cut 4 apples with the Paper Sweeties Home Grown Sweet Cuts. I sponged each apple with Distress inks. The bowl was made with the newest Sweet Cut Window:

I die cut yellow card stock with the Window die. I cut the top off and turned it upside down. Next, I adhered the cut off portion with foam tape to the top and created this fruit bowl!

I hope you have been inspired to play with us this month!
Now please visit my wonderfully talented
Paper Sweetie Teamies for more inspiration!
