The Card Concept Challenge # 91-Blossoms in Bloom

Hello my stampy friends!
What a pretty party dress we have here at the Card Concept!!!
This dress reminds me of one of my favorite photos of my mom.
She had on a dress very similar to this one in the photo!

I did not have a die of a dress form, so I had to draw and cut one out myself!
I started with white card stock, which I colored with Broken China Distress Oxide ink.

Next, I die cut lots of tiny flowers and leaves with the older Mini Flowers & Leaves die from Simon Says Stamps. I placed tiny gems and pearls on the center of the flowers. I wanted this dress to look very retro!

My card style today would be considered
Clean & Simple
One Main Image
Lots of open space (uncluttered)
Limited layers and embellishments
Quick & easy to recreate

I hope you will play in our fun challenge!
We LOVE seeing your creations and how you interpret the inspiration photos!
Feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles!
All of the different styles are explained HERE.

Paper Sweeties April 2018 Rewind!

Hello my Sweetie friends!
It is time for our final day of showcasing our latest release here at
PAPER SWEETIES-Sweetie Pets and their matching Sweet Cuts!

I had so much fun creating this card! I have been seeing a lot of masking in blogland, so I thought I would give it a try.
I just knew these darling puppies and cat would be purr-fect for this project!

Below is a photo of how I masked the images using the new PAPER SWEETIES PETS stamps.
I stamped the little brown doggie in the center of the bottom row first. Then I would stamp the image on post-it notes and fussy cut it out. I repeated this process over and over until I had my desired result. The Misti tool really makes this process easier!
Next I colored them with Zig Markers and a water brush.

I hope you have enjoyed  seeing our projects using the PAPER SWEETIES PETS
stamps and Sweet Cuts! They are so darling!

Paper Sweeties April 2018 Sneak Peek!

HELLO SWEETIES!

PAPER SWEETIES is back this month with a new release-
the matching SWEET CUTS to the adorable stamp set  Sweeties Pets!

I love, love, love these adorable kitties and doggies in this stamp set! And now we have the Sweet Cut dies!

Here is my SNEAK PEEK example:

I started my card by using the Paper Sweeties Scalloped Circle dies to cut 3 holes into some white card stock. Next, I chose some fun patterned papers.
I stamped the Sweeties Pets kitties onto some Copic friendly card stock and colored them with  Copic Markers. Then... I was able to cut them out with the NEW matching Sweet Cuts!

I think the Sweetie Pets look so cute perched in the holes I made!
The scalloped border on the left side is another Paper Sweetie Sweet Cuts  called Sweet Borders.

I hope you have enjoyed this post featuring the new Pets Sweet Cuts!
