Butterflies in Pastel

Welcome to another
Card Concept Challenge!!
Your entries for the last challenge were ah-mazing!!!!!
Thanks for ALL of the inspiration!!!!!

We have pretty pastels this time!

I started my card by painting some Tim Holtz water color paper with lots of water and my Prima Metallic Accents watercolors. After they dried, I splattered them with the same watercolors, plus some black.

After the watercolored papers were good and dry, I used my Verve Graceful Butterflies dies and die cut lots of pretty butterflies. I think they turned out GORGEOUS! I die cut white vellum paper to layer under the larger butterflies. You can barely see the vellum layers in the photo. I think the vellum  added a little bit of softness.

I hope I have inspired you to join us here at

Friends Are What Fill Life's Garden!

We're BACK!!!! YAY!!
Welcome to a new season at the

And look at this GORGEOUS inspiration board that we are starting with!

I fell in love with the beautiful colors!
So I was inspired to create a card using pink roses, blue flowers, and a background with beautiful neutral colors and texture.

I started by stamping all of the images onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock with Versamark ink. I heat embossed all of the images with SSS white embossing powder.

Next, I colored all of the images with PrismaColor pencils.  I haven't used them in such a long time. I was inspired by all the pretty creations that I have seen people making recently. I really enjoyed using them!

I dry embossed a 4 X 5 1/4 inch of Neenah Desert Storm card stock with a woodgrain embossing folder. Next, I sponged around all of the edges with SSS white pigment ink. I arranged the pretty bouquet after I cut out all of the flowers and leaves with their matching dies. Added a few sequins for some sparkle!

I hope I have inspired you to play here at

Paper Sweeties September 2017 Inspiration Challenge

Hello Sweetie fans!!! Welcome to another

Here is our pretty photo inspiration:

Apples are so good this time of year! Maybe that's why they are so popular to share with our school teachers as we begin a new school year. I had so much fun making this card with a school theme. I know it doesn't exactly match the beautiful photo inspiration, but apples are what I saw!

I measured and cut a piece of red card stock to make the school house, then ran it thru a wood grain embossing folder. Next, I used the Paper Sweeties Stand Add On:Cottage Elements stamps to create this cute little school house.

The big apple is from the Home Grown stamp set and matching Sweet CutThe crayons and watercolors were stamped with You Add Color To My Life. The scissors were stamped with the Planner Scissors:Shapes stamp set. The grass and sentiment were stamped with the Tree of Life. They were all colored with Copic Markers.

My card is the perfect example of how the Paper Sweeties stamps are so easy to mix and match with each other!

I just love this school themed card and I hope you do, too!
