Card Concept Challenge #68-Aqua & Lime

Hello! I hope you are doing well. I think Spring has arrived early here in the Piedmont area of North Carolina and I love it!! However...that means allergy season, too! YUK!!!

It's time for a new challenge here at the Card Concept.

Every two weeks we post a new inspiration photo challenge.
Each designer chooses a different style of card to make!
All of the styles are explained HERE.
You can use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.

This week I chose the Classy & Elegant style:

  • polished
  • shiny finish
  • sparkling embellishments
  • rich colour scheme
  • sophisticated sentiments
  • regal
  • sweeping
  • dramatic
  • monochromatic
  • layered textures
  • awe
  • impress
And here is my card:

I used the stamp set Flower Sparks ( Penny Black) . First,  I would ink a flower stamp with  distress ink, give it a spritz of water and then stamp it onto watercolor paper. When the images were dry, I stamped them again with the same inks, but did not spritz them with water. I used Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress inks. I think these colors are so beautiful together!

The sentiment is from the stamp set YOU (Simon Says). I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto some vellum. And the YOU was die cut with silver glitter paper. I added some clear dew drops for some dimension.

I hope you will be inspired to join us here at
And don't forget to visit my very talented team mates for some fabulous inspiration!

This made me sigh with happiness. I don't know how you managed to make a card that is simultaneously messy and perfectly tailored. It's fantastic!
