Paper Sweeties February 2017 Inspiration Challenge

Hello!!!
Welcome to the February Inspiration Challenge here at

Here is our February inspiration photo!

I was inspired by the vintage heart on that beautiful wreath! Whenever I see this type of tea stained gingham, I am reminded of my dear mother in law. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC close to a part of the city called Old Salem. The buildings and homes look exactly as they did 100+ years ago. I would go with her to visit  their shops, which were full of vintage and antique items. She loved going there. That was my first introduction to anything like that. And you would see fabrics similar to this tea stained gingham on cloth dolls, etc in the shops. I lost my sweet MIL to cancer in 1989. She was a wonderful person!
So... I created a vintage style card for this month's challenge.

The large heart was die cut using the Paper Sweeties With Love Sweet Cut. I love this die because it cuts this heart, but also die cuts a pretty lacy scalloped outline for the heart, which I chose not to use on this card.

The sentiment is from the Paper Sweeties Happy Everything stamp set.  I stamped the word HAPPY onto white card stock. I watercolored  Barn Door Distress ink on the center of each letter of the word. Next, I fussy cut each letter. And sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.  I adhered each letter above the Valentine's Day banner. The smaller hearts were made with the Paper Sweeties BE HAPPY Sweet Cuts.

I hope I have inspired you to want to join us this month! We love seeing your creations! You could be chosen to be a Guest Designer or win a $20 gift card to the Paper Sweeties Shoppe!
