Today is my turn!!

I made this beautiful tree using alcohol inks and Yupo paper. I was watching a Jennifer McGuire video and she was using this technique to create some beautiful cards. You can view the video HERE.

After the alcohol inked paper was thoroughly dry, I die cut a tree from the Merry & Bright Sweet Cut set.
I stamped some snowflakes from the Merry Little Christmas stamp set with Versamark ink.
Next I added white embossing powder. I VERY CAREFULLY heat set the snowflakes. The  yupo paper will melt/and or bend if you apply too much heat.

I adhered the tree to a window I created in the card base using oval dies and acetate. I created a frame with white card stock. Then the acetate was glued between the the layers of the frame.  The sentiment is from the Stand Add On: Manger stamp set, which was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I hope you will join us each day of our Christmas Blog Hop here at PAPER SWEETIES.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, EVERYONE!

Card Concept Challenge #83

Welcome to another fun challenge here at the
I thank each and every one of you who joined us the last time. WOW!!!
You guys rocked that challenge!!!
So much wonderful inspiration!

Here is our last inspiration board for this year!!
We will be taking a little break until January.

Who doesn't love red and kraft together???

Here is my card:

I just love, love, love this new reindeer die set from My Favorite Things!!!!

I die cut the reindeer with white card stock and then colored them with Copic Markers.
After coloring the antlers, I covered them with Matte Medium, and dipped them into Ranger Rock Candy glitter. It's hard to see the sparkle in the photos.
The cute fa la la sentiment was die cut 3 times with red card stock . I glued them together to make it have some great dimension. Finally, I covered sentiment with Nuvo Crystal glaze.

My card style would be considered a Clean and Layered :
Clean Lines
Lots of Layers
Design papers/Embossing
Clean and Fresh Looking
Some colored images at times
Lots of White Space

All of the styles are explained HERE.

Please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.

I decided to play with the Ginger Bread Man from PAPER SWEETIES - Sugar & Spice Sweet Cuts!

I had so much fun making this gingerbread man! I die cut him with Desert Storm Neenah card stock.
Then I sponged all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
After adding the icing, buttons, bow tie and his sweet little face, I covered him with Matte Medium glue and dipped him into Rock Candy Distress Glitter
He looks just like a delicious cookie!

The pretty strings of Christmas lights were from the PAPER SWEETIES- Add On:Baked With Love.
First I colored them with Copic markers. After cutting them out with the matching Sweet Cuts, I covered them in Glossy Accents to make them look like real Christmas lights!
My pretty candy canes are from the PAPER SWEETIES- Stand Add On:Sweet Treats stamp set and matching Sweet Cuts.

Paper Sweeties December 2017 Inspiration Challenge

Hello Sweeties!!!
But don't be sad...we will still be having our Stamp Release Parties each month!

Here is our fun inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the rustic feel of this photo.
I knew right away what PAPER SWEETIES product I would use...
Stitched Tags #3 Sweet Cuts!

I die the cut the stockings with 4 different pattern papers. Then I die cut 4 more stockings with kraft colored paper. I trimmed the tops off the kraft ones and glued them to the pattern paper stockings.
Next I sponged each one with Vintage Paper Distress Ink. I tied  a bow with twine around each one.
I punched a hole in the corners of each one and strung them with the same twine that I used with the bows.

And of course I had to stamp each one with our PAPER SWEETIE Doll's names...
I'm sure Santa comes to see them too!!!

And the sweet sentiment is from the PAPER SWEETIES DEAR SANTA stamp set!

I hope I have inspired you to join us in our last

Please visit my Paper Sweetie Teamies
