The Card Concept Challenge #63

Hello! I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Our son came into town, which was fabulous! Of course, I ate entirely too much food!!! That is why Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday!!! haha!!

Now it is time for my second favorite holiday...Christmas!!!!

Our current challenge here at the
CARD CONCEPT is perfect for this time of year!

This will be our last challenge for awhile! CARD CONCEPT is going to be taking a Christmas break, so we may spend some quality time getting ready for this beautiful season with our friends and loved ones!

I was inspired by the JOY and the greenery in the inspiration photo! I knew right away that I wanted to use my new Tim Holtz Ephemera Pack-Festive.

Most of this card was made with Tim Holtz Christmas products. If you look at the upper right corner, you can see where I used a TH stencil and embossing paste for the words-Joy and Believe.  There were two poinsettias in the ephemera pack. I glued one in place and then fussy cut the second and adhered it to the first one for some dimension.

That pretty reindeer came from TARGET!!! They had some fun Christmas items at the front of the store for cards and scrap booking, etc! Check it out!

I hope we have inspired you to join us here at
And we hope everyone has a blessed Holiday season!

Paper Sweeties November 2016 Rewind!

Hello!
It is time to show how versatile the Paper Sweeties
stamps and Sweet Cuts are!

I used several different Paper Sweeties stamps and Sweet Cuts for this cute card!

First I die cut the tree from the 2015 MERRY & BRIGHT Sweet Cuts.

I colored a string of lights from the BAKED WITH LOVE Stamp set with Copic Markers. I added Glossy Accents to each bulb. They look so real!

Next I stamped and colored the reindeer from the new JINGLE ALL THE WAY stamp set.

I think this turned out to be a very cute card!
I am having so much fun playing with these new stamps!

Paper Sweeties November 2016 Release Sneak Peek!

Hello my stampy friends!!!
I can NOT believe it is already November 14th! Thanksgiving is just around the corner!
And it is time for SNEAK PEEKS of the newest stamps and dies to be released here
at PAPER SWEETIES !

I was tickled pink when I saw this release! So many adorable stamps and dies for the holidays!

I started my card by stamping 3 reindeer from the new JINGLE ALL THE WAY stamps onto kraft paper. I then did some shading with Copic Markers. The sleigh was also colored with Copic Markers.
When the sleigh was dry, I added some Liquid Applique to the white area for some fun texture!

For the background, I stamped some snowflakes from the new SWEET TREATS stamp set with Versamark ink onto a piece of white card stock. I heat embossed the snowflakes with some glittery embossing powder. I sponged this with Tumbled Glass Distress ink, and the snowflakes resisted the ink. This made such a pretty sky IRL! Next, I made a snowbank by fussy cutting a snow drift and adding some glitter to the edge. Lots of sparkle on this card!

I hope you will come back tomorrow to see another example of this adorable Paper Sweeties Release!

And please visit my Paper Sweetie Teamies, too!

Card Concept Challenge #61

Hello my stampy friends!!! Welcome to another

This time I fell in love with the pink & mint green colors of our inspiration board!

I made a birthday card for a very good friend of mine.

She loves butterflies, so I started looking through my stamps and came across one of my favorites from Stampin Up...Watercolor Wings. I stamped two different butterflies with Distress inks and fussy cut them out.  Next, I die cut a vellum butterfly with the SU Butterflies Thinlits dies. I layered the butterflies together to make one big, beautiful butterfly!

I used a newer favorite Stampin Up set...Swirly Bird for the background panel. I stamped and heat embossed the swirls with silver embossing powder.

I hope we have inspired you to join us here at
