Paper Sweeties October 2016 Release Rewind

Hello my stampy friends!!!
It's time to show you how easy it is to mix the newest Paper Sweeties Stamps and Sweet Cuts with older releases to make all kinds of cards and projects!

Basket Add-on: Baked with Love Sweet Cuts

I created a shaker card full of peppermint candies!
I stamped lots of peppermints from the Baked With Love stamp set.
I colored the candies with Copic Markers and then covered them with Glossy Accents.
I set them aside to dry overnight!

I used the Paper Sweeties HomeMade With Love stamp and matching Sweet Cut to make the cute jar! I stamped the lid onto some pattern paper and fussy cut it out. Next I took  the HomeMade With Love Sweet Cut and placed into the middle of another piece of pattern paper, and cut out the shape of the jar.

I glued a piece of acetate to the back of the cut out panel to form the shaker. Next, I added foam tape all around the back of this panel to create a space for the peppermint candies!

Before glueing the topper to the jar, I added twine and made a bow. I stamped Holiday Treats onto some vellum and heat embossed the letters with red embossing powder. Then I took one of the sentiments from the new Merry Little Christmas stamp set and cut it into 2 pieces! I stamped one part at the top of the page and the other part at the bottom of the page!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing mine and my teammies creations this week!
And hopefully you have been inspired to create!!!

Paper Sweeties October 2016 Sneak Peeks!

Hello my stampy friends!!!
It is October 14th and that means it is time for SNEAK PEEKS
of the newest stamps and dies to be released here
at PAPER SWEETIES !

I'm so excited!!!!!!

My card today features the BIG sentiment of the new Merry Little Christmas stamp set. This is going to be such a FANTASTIC stamp to make lots of beautiful Christmas cards!

First,  I inked the big sentiment with Versamark ink. I stamped it on the center of a 4 X 5 1/4 piece of watercolor paper, and then heat embossed the image with silver embossing powder.

Next, I masked the sentiment, so I could stamp snowflakes with Versamark ink all around it. I heat embossed the snowflakes with white embossing powder. Then I sponged the entire page with Salty Ocean Distress ink. I colored in the letters of the sentiment and the tree stand with a silver Wink of Stella glitter pen. I added white and silver ink splatters and pretty Paper Sweeties silver sequins to add sparkle! I LOVE sparkle!

I hope you will come back tomorrow for
RELEASE DAY!

Always Playing With Paper Challenge #81

Happy Sunday! Today was beautiful!  Thank Goodness!
We had solid rain for the last 2 days from Hurricane Matthew, but thankfully not like our neighbors to the South and East. I am praying for those who now have huge messes to clean up and for their power to come back on soon!!

One of the things I did yesterday was play in my craft room!

I was inspired by the colors at Always Playing with Paper!

The flowers are from the Bold Blooms (MFT) stamp set. It seems like it has been a long time since I stamped images without coloring them! It was nice and easy!

The Card Concept #59-Sweet Treats

Welcome to the Card Concept!!!
Look at this delicious inspiration!

I was inspired by the yummy colors and Halloween!
I LOVE making Halloween cards! I have no idea why, except my son loved it when he was a little boy!!! And of course I would have to dress up, too!!! So...I made this Halloween card using the colors of our inspiration board.

I had just received my Halloween Kit from Simon Says Stamps and I wanted to play with it!!

I began my sponging Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks onto a piece of watercolor paper. Next, I misted the Memory Box tree stencil that came with the kit with the Wilted Violet and Black Soot spray stains that came with the kit. Needless to say...I was not happy with the tree stencil. It is way too flimsy!
I stamped spiders, bats and spider webs onto the panel after everything had dried.

I watercolored the cute, little trick or treaters with Distress inks. I added Glossy Accents, black Liquid Pearl, orange Stickles and lots of a Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter pen to add interest and texture to them! They are just so adorable!!

I hope I have inspired you to join us here at
We LOVE seeing your creations!

Paper Sweeties October 2016 Inspiration Challenge

Hello my stampy friends!
Welcome to the October Inspiration Challenge here at PAPER SWEETIES!

I just love the beautiful neutrals of this photo!

It is the season for the leaves to fall from the trees, but I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon here in Charlotte! We just had our FIRST day of below 80 degrees this Summer and Fall yesterday!! Yay!!!

I just love the tree from Paper Sweetie's TREE OF LIFE  stamp set!
I stamped the tree with Versamark ink  and then heat set the image with brown embossing powder.
Next, I masked the tree and stamped the grassy area. I added some extra shading to the tree and tree roots with some Distress Markers.

I made the background with distress inks, water and piece of acetate packaging to "smoosh" on the background!  I sprayed the card all over with some Shimmer Spritz. I LOVE this stuff! It made the card so shiny!

I hope you have been inspired to join our
We love seeing what you create!
AND you could win a $20 dollar gift card to the PAPER SWEETIES Shoppe!!!
