Exciting News!!!!

I have some very exciting news to share!!!!
I have been invited to join the design team at

Yay!!! I am so excited!!!
And...they have a fabulous store to shop from!
7 Kids College Fund Store

So please visit the store!
I will post links at the end of my blog of any supplies that I use, that are available in the store!

Now onto my card.

I used many different techniques for this card and it was so much fun!
I started with some watercolor paper. I stamped it with a text stamp in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder, so I could do some fun resist techniques.
I took the Old Paper Distress ink pad and tapped it directly on a stamping block. I misted the block with water and then placed it directly over the embossed paper. This gives you an awesome watercolor effect. See how it resisted the embossed text?

Next I inked & stamped the entire panel with a background splatter dotted stamp in Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.. Cool, huh?
Then the prettiness starts! I applied Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose, Frayed Burlap and Peeled Paint  to my craft mat. Then I misted my MFT Blooming Roses stamp with water and ran the stamp directly onto the inks on the craft mat. Again, you get this cool watercolor effect.
I stenciled the MFT Rose Builder rose on top of the stamped image.
I made that pretty flower with my Tim Holtz Tattered Flower Garden die. Added a Tim Holtz metal flower & brad to the center of the flower. Stamped the sentiment from the Stamper's Anonymous -Simple Sayings stamp set. Attached this with some twine underneath tied in a big loopy bow. I hope you can see I adhered some torn vellum paper behind the sentiment and flower.

And this was my card!

I hope I was able to explain the techniques clearly.
I learned about this from watching You Tube!
 (I love You Tube!!!)

I hope you are able to join us at 7Kids College Fund Challenge blog!
I f you make an entry you might win a gift certificate to the 7Kids College Fund store!
It is always fun to go shopping! Good luck and I hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
