Yum!

Hello! I made this card for my sweet mama who will be 86 this week!
She has some physical disabilities, but mentally she is still sharp as a tack!

I decided to use the color challenge:

I  love these colors! And pink is one of my mom's favorite colors!

The cupcake was stamped with a Hero Arts stamp set. I colored the cupcake with Copic markers, then added some Stardust Stickles to the icing and silver Liquid Pearl to the wrapper. I popped up the black and white polka dot paper with some dimensionals. This doesn't show up in the photo.

I think this card turned out very festive!

I needed to make a card for a friend who just lost their uncle. I wanted to do something special and I wanted to use flowers. I looked thru my various sketches and magazines.  I cased this card from one I saw in the February CARDS magazine, by Kelly Holbrook.
The flowers are made with PTI Dearest Jane paper. Each flower is two scallop punches, one 1 3/4" circle punch and a 3/4" circle punch.  Scrunch up each circle, then fold the edges over. After you put them together, add a pretty brad for the center. The leaves are from a flower Sizzix die.

The flowers are so much fun to make that I had to make another one, but this time I used 2-sided designer paper.

Smile.....it's your Birthday!

Happy Tuesday!

Just wanted to show the money card holder I made for our son for his birthday.
He is a very talented artist and photographer!
So when I saw this paper, from my Studio Calico Kit of the Month, I just knew it would make the perfect card! The camera was made with the Cricket Express and the Create a Critter cartridge.
You can't see it in this photo but I used glossy effects on the camera lens. The handle is thin black ribbon. I added black brads to make it look like the buttons on the camera.

Happy Birthday

I just made this pretty pink birthday card for one of my VERY dear friends! She is one of my friends that has moved away. We do not keep in touch like we used to, but we both know that if we ever need each other for ANYTHING, that we would be there!

The balloons and gift bag were cut with the Create a Critter cartridge and my Cricut Express. I added colored floss for the balloon strings. The paper is from an older paper collection by BG called Green at Heart that I have always loved! (I'm  pink girl..what can I say???) And the sentiment is Stampin Up.

I am going to link this card up to one of my favorite blog sites-
 Die Cuttin' Divas!

The challenge: Anything Goes!
