Happy Birthday, Son!

I got my color inspiration for this card from the colors selected at

This card is a combination of stamping and inspiration and love.
My son is going thru a little bit of a  rough time right now.
He has been working at the NC Museum of Art for the last 7 years, and due to budget costs, he will be laid off next week. He is thinking that he wants to start his own Art Handling
business, as well as spend more time on his art.
(He is a graduate from The Design School at N.C. State).

So...not only did I want to make a Birthday card for him,
I also wanted to make an inspirational card for him.
I used stamps, but I also wanted to add some "art" aspects to his card,
because he is a very talented artist!

I painted, I dabbed, I stenciled, I distressed, I sponged and I misted this card.
It was such a good feeling making this card.
It was fun using this creative side of my brain.

I stamped the inside message with the Verve "Happy Thoughts" stamp set
I misted over this with the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Coffee Shop.

I really like the way the birthday card turned out!
Thanks for stopping by. I would really like to hear your feedback!
