Card Concept Challenge #85-Rustic Flowers

Hello everyone!
Welcome to another challenge here at

This time our theme is Rustic Flowers.

I was so inspired by the beautiful flowers and rose aagainst the woodgrain background.

The Misti was a BIG help with creating these flowers. It allowed me
to color the leaves, blue flowers and pink flower outline with Distress Markers.
Then, I re-stamped  the image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Next, I watercolored the pink roses with Picked Raspberry and Aged Mahogany  Ranger Distress inks with a water brush. I just love how the roses turned out! If you ever watch any Penny Black videos on YouTube, you will see their designer, Jill Foster, do this technique often. I really loved the results!

I hope I was able to explain this technique clearly!

I think the style of my card would be a combination of shabby chic and mixed media!
I'm not really sure! LOL!

I hope you will join us for our new challenge!
We love seeing all of your beautiful creations!
All of the styles are explained HERE.
Please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.

Paper Sweeties Winter Blast from the Past Day 3

Welcome to the final day of our Winter Blast from the Past!
There will not be a new release until February,
so we thought we would share some wintery creations with some of our previously released favorite stamps and Sweet Cuts!

I wanted to create a wintry scene . I thought this tree would be perfect! It is the Tree of Life.
I stamped it onto the card stock with SU Early Expresso ink and then splattered lots of white paint to look like snow!
I added the sign and a little red bird. I'm sure a scene like this was seen in a lot of places last week. BRRRR!!!!

Card Concept Challenge # 84-

Welcome back my stampy friends to the
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.
It was so nice spending time with family and friends.

Now I 'm ready to get my creative juices flowing again!
This beautiful inspiration photo was perfect for that!

I was inspired by the cupcakes and all of the pink color to create this Mixed Media card.

My card is a TOTAL CASE of a set of cards that I saw on a Nichol Spohr video. She is so talented and just love watching her YouTube Channel!!! The video of her card is HERE.

I created my card using some darling cupcakes from PAPER SWEETIES!
The Birthday was created with an Echo Park die.
I had so much fun creating this card!
My card would be considered a Mixed Media style card, because of the different mediums that I used. I used ink and embossing paste for the background. I used heat embossing on the cupcakes. This card has lots of texture!

Mixed Media

2 or more mediums (inks, embossing powder, pencils, watercolors, markers, etc.)
May include dimensionals-embossing paste, gesso, fabric, papers, etc.
May include heated elements-encaustic was, embossing
Can be a variety of styles-CAS, Graphic, Shabby Chic, Grunge
Basically, use of 2 or more mediums qualifies as Mixed Media

All of the styles are explained HERE.

Please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.

I hope you will join us for our new challenge!
