Paper Sweeties February 2017 Release Rewind!

Hello my stampy friends!
Welcome to the Paper Sweeties REWIND Party!

It's time to show you how easy it is to mix the newest Paper Sweeties Stamps and Sweet Cuts with older releases to make all kinds of cards and projects!

My card today features lots of different Paper Sweetie stamps!

I thought it would be fun for the Easter Bunny to set up a stand to sell Easter Eggs!

All of my images were stamped onto Bristol white paper with Archival Ink. They were then colored with Zig Clean Brush markers. I added Glossy Accents and a clear Wink of Stella glitter pen for some fun accents!

Card Concept Challenge #67

Hello!
It's time for a new challenge here at the Card Concept.

Every two weeks we post a new inspiration photo challenge.

Each designer chooses a different style of card to make!
All of the styles are explained HERE.
You can use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.  This week I chose Shabby and Vintage.

  • the use of used, worn or inexpensive components to make stylish goods
  • distressed or sponged edges
  • old feel-antiqued
  • lots of embellishments
  • ribbons or lace
  • lots of layers

I was inspired by the rustic heart in the challenge photo

I began by creating my background. I sponged  Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress inks onto some Tim Holtz water color paper. I stamped different images onto the sponged panel.

I stamped and heat embossed three hearts with bronze embossing powder. I used my Prima Metallic watercolor cakes and added color to the centers of the hearts. They look really cool IRL. I attached the hearts to a piece of torn and sponged vellum. And finally added some twine and a tag.

I hope you will be inspired to join us here at

Hello my stampy friends! Welcome to the

Once again... I am in love with this new release!

I used this new stamp set to create a wedding card!

I stamped the large bow and smaller bow all over a piece of Strathmore Bristol white water color paper with Versamark ink.  I then heat embossed all of the images with a Hero Arts White Satin Pearl embossing powder.

Next I colored the images with ZIG Clean Color Real brush markers and a water brush.

The pretty bow was made with Paper Sweeties Raspberry seam binding.  And the tag is from the Paper Sweeties Stitched Tags #1

The Card Concept Challenge # 66

*Please scroll below for today's Paper Sweeties February Inspiration Challenge*

A new challenge starts today at
Thanks to all of you that joined us for our last challenge!
Wow! You guys are amazing!!!!

Isn't this photo pretty???

I was inspired by that pretty pink rose and the valentines.

I haven't made rolled paper roses in such a long time! I had forgotten how much I love them!
These roses were made with some older MFT Die-Namics dies.
I die cut two hearts-one with pink polka dot paper and the second with white vellum.  The background was embossed with a heart embossing folder from the Paper Studio.

I think this card is so sweet! This just might be my hubbies!

My card would be considered a Clean and Layered style:

Clean Lines
Lots of Layers
Design papers/Embossing
Clean and Fresh Looking
Some colored images at times
Lots of White Space

All of the styles are explained HERE.
Please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.

Paper Sweeties February 2017 Inspiration Challenge

Hello!!!
Welcome to the February Inspiration Challenge here at

Here is our February inspiration photo!

I was inspired by the vintage heart on that beautiful wreath! Whenever I see this type of tea stained gingham, I am reminded of my dear mother in law. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC close to a part of the city called Old Salem. The buildings and homes look exactly as they did 100+ years ago. I would go with her to visit  their shops, which were full of vintage and antique items. She loved going there. That was my first introduction to anything like that. And you would see fabrics similar to this tea stained gingham on cloth dolls, etc in the shops. I lost my sweet MIL to cancer in 1989. She was a wonderful person!
So... I created a vintage style card for this month's challenge.

The large heart was die cut using the Paper Sweeties With Love Sweet Cut. I love this die because it cuts this heart, but also die cuts a pretty lacy scalloped outline for the heart, which I chose not to use on this card.

The sentiment is from the Paper Sweeties Happy Everything stamp set.  I stamped the word HAPPY onto white card stock. I watercolored  Barn Door Distress ink on the center of each letter of the word. Next, I fussy cut each letter. And sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.  I adhered each letter above the Valentine's Day banner. The smaller hearts were made with the Paper Sweeties BE HAPPY Sweet Cuts.

I hope I have inspired you to want to join us this month! We love seeing your creations! You could be chosen to be a Guest Designer or win a $20 gift card to the Paper Sweeties Shoppe!
