The Card Concept Challenge # 80

Hello my stampy friends!
Welcome to a new challenge starting today at

This inspiration board is so divine!!!!

I was totally inspired by the pink and gold colors and that big bow pillow!
LOVE!!!

I immediately thought of my stamp set - Talk is Chic (SPD), when I saw those lips!
I stamped them over and over in gold ink.

And then I remembered my Perfect Bow (SSS) die! I haven't used this darling bow die in a long time! I need to use it more often. It is so adorable!

I think the scalloped edges and the hearts were the perfect additions for this girly card!!

My card style would be considered a Clean and Layered :

Clean Lines
Lots of Layers
Design papers/Embossing
Clean and Fresh Looking
Some colored images at times
Lots of White Space

All of the styles are explained HERE.
Please feel free to use any of the styles we have defined or create your own with a combination of styles.

I hope you will join us this week!

The Card Concept #79-Vintage Notes

Hello !!! It is time for a new challenge here at

I was inspired by the scripted backgrounds and the blue butterflies!

I started my card by stamping the butterfly and sentiment onto Tim Holtz water color paper with  Black Archival ink . I masked the sentiment and the butterfly.
And then the fun began!!!!

First, I stamped script and musical notes with Watering Can Archival ink. Next I sponged the sun with this fabulous stencil that I have in my stash. Then I added lots of wonderful colors with Distress inks and water and the Simon Says stamp set-Lots of Dots! I would ink the stamp and then spritz with water before stamping it on the paper. I think it made this really cool effect.

I removed the masks. Then I adhered a second butterfly that I had stamped and colored with Zig Clean Color markers. I only glued the butterfly down in the center, and folded the wings up a little bit, to have some great dimension.
The final touches were some droplets made with Nuvo Jewel Drops.
I hope I have inspired you to come play with us!!
I love seeing all of your beautiful creations!

Paper Sweeties May 2017 Inspiration Challenge

Hello Sweetie Fans!!!
It is May 1, so that means time for a new monthly
 Inspiration Challenge here at
PAPER SWEETIES!

Isn't this inspiration photo beautiful!

I was inspired by the pretty pinks and browns, one of my favorite color combos!

I stamped this pretty birthday cake from the HAPPY CAKE DAY stamp set with Versamark ink onto watercolor paper. I then heat embossed the cake with gold embossing powder.  Next I used Tattered Rose,  Aged Mahogany and Vintage Photo Distress inks with water to color the cake.
I also added some flowers from the PARTY TIME BUNDLE STAMP SET to the cake.

I just love the pinks and brown colors with the gold embossing!

I hope I have inspired you to join our challenge this month HERE at Paper Sweeties!
