SugarPea Designs Sketch Challenge #42

Hello my stampy friends!
Welcome to the
Sketch Challenge #42!

My card today features  FUNKY WREATHS:ALL SEASONS and the matching Sugar Cuts.

I stamped and heat embossed the wreath with brown embossing powder on vellum paper. Next I die cut  a wreath in pink card stock to put underneath the vellum layer.  I did some sponging and stitching to the background layers. And of course I had to add sparkle with some sequins and Wink of Stella!

SugarPea Designs Sketch Challenge # 41

Welcome to another Sketch Challenge here at

I took the MountainScape Log Cabin die, and die cut
Bristol Smooth Surface paper. This paper works the best with the Kuretake watercolor brushes.

My sentiment is from the Timber stamp set.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink onto black paper, and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then die cut the sentiment with one of the Stitched Flags dies.

I hope you will join us here at SugarPea Designs!

The Card Concept #49

Hello everybody!
It's time for a new challenge here at The Card Concept!!!!

I have created a card in the 'Classy & Elegant' style, being inspired by the pretty flowers and the colors in the photo.

After seeing the fabulously talented Shari Carrol of Simon Says Stamps use the Doodle Buds (WPlus9) stamps, I just had to have them!
And I couldn't wait to play with them!
My flowers were colored with my Zig water color markers and a water brush.
This beautiful sentiment and die is also part of this stamp set.
But, I must admit....I cut the sentiment stamp apart! I wanted it to go with the Blessed die cut!

I hope you have been inspired to play with us!
You can create a card in any style you want.

Here are the Rules:
  1. Use the Challenge to create a card.
  2. Choose one of the design team "styles" to create your card. Click HERE for the different styles summary.
  3. Explain in your post which style you used.

Paper Sweeties February Rewind!

Hello everybody!
It is REWIND Day here at Paper Sweeties
We want to show you how easy it is to mix the newest Paper Sweeties Stamps and Sweet Cuts with older releases to make all kinds of cards and projects!

My card today features the new THINKING OF YOU stamps and matching Sweet Cuts  with the older HELLO FRIEND stamps and Sweet Cuts!

I saw another stamp and die company release a die for this flower wrapping, and I thought it was so pretty! I got to thinking about it...and figured out how to make one with a square of card stock without a die!

Below is how I made it:

1. Die cut a scalloped square

2. Score as shown below

3. Fold on score lines

4. Trim the point a little to make it even

5. Glue one flap to the next. Voila!

I added a bouquet of flowers with some foam tape to the inside of the wrapping.I then tied some twine around it. Isn't it pretty??? And so EASY!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the design team's creations this month featuring the February Releases!
