Sharing

Happy Tuesday my crafty friends!
Just a quick post of a card that I am sharing on the 7KIDS Store blog today.

The stamp is called Sharing Seed by Stampendous. I think this image is so sweet! I just love those little chickies! The image was stamped on watercolor paper with Black Archival Ink. And then I pulled out my watercolors and Distress Markers to paint the image. I am working hard to improve my watercoloring skills. It is so therapeutic!
And forgiving!!! Which I like the most! ha!

There is still time to join our current ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE here!

YOu may win a $25 shopping spree to the store!

Happy Birthday

Hello my stampy friends! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!
I wanted to share a couple of beautiful birthday cards that I made for 2 very good friends.

All I did is use some gorgeous papers from Prima called Epiphany, and the Royal Stand-Ups die by Sizzix designed by the very talented Stephanie Barnard of Stamps of Life.

The sentiment is a Paper Trey Ink stamp called Boutique Borders:Birthday.
The sequins, die cuts and metal butterfly were all part of the add-on package that I purchased with the pretty Prima papers. I just did a little sponging around the edges of the sentiment panel.  I think these cards look much more complicated than they really were to put together! And I like that! Don't you???

Paper Sweeties March Release Countdown

Hello! It is Day Two of sneak peeks of the March Paper Sweeties Releases! Today I decided to make a trendy shaker card with one of the cute tags from the Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts that will be available on the 15th!

I die cut 2 pieces of card stock with the Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cut and 2 pieces of fun foam. I then took a precision blade and cut the centers out of the tags, (using the stitched line that the die makes), as a guide line where to cut. Did that make any sense???? And I cut one piece of acetate with the same Sweet Cut.
I filled my shaker with Paper Sweetie Sequins and some seed beads. I tied some red Baker's Twine to the top of the tag! I think the Stitched Tag Shaker turned out so cute! There are THREE different tags in this new set!

Please go see what my Paper SweetiesTeamies have created using these new releases!

Happy St. Patrick's!

Hello my crafty friends! It is time for another
ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE here at  7KIDS!
And since this is the month of St. Patrick's Day, we added a twist...
GREEN!

The first thing I did for this card was the embossed background that you can see in the circle window. I patted some Crush Olive Distress ink on my craft pad. then I added some transparent embossing paste to the ink and mixed it together with my spatula. I applied a very thin layer of the green embossing paste over the Bubble (Tim Holtz) stencil. After I lifted the stencil, I immediately sprinkled it with some clear glitter. I heat set this with my heat gun. The hello (Lawn Fawn) die cut was cut 4 times out of white card stock, which I sponged with Crushed Olive Distress ink. These were all glued together.

I do not have any St. Patrick's Day stamps, but I wanted to make a card about this fun holiday! I have seen in blogland, that you can make a shamrock with a heart die or stamp. So that is what I did!  I cut out 3 little hearts and then sponged then with Crushed Olive Distress Ink. The sentiment was typed on my computer and then printed on some white card stock.

Well...I hope you like my green card!

It's a Celebration!

Paper Sweeties is one of the sponsors at the
Cupcake Inspiration 300th Challenge Celebration!

We are so excited to participate in this fun event!
Here is the Inspiration Photo for today!

And I thought that the cupcake from Paper Sweeties Sending Sweet Thoughts was the perfect stamp for this challenge!

The fun sentiment is from the Paper Sweeties Happy Everything stamp set. I watercolored all the images and sentiment with Ranger Distress inks. I splattered some of these inks onto the background to look like confetti, as well as, put some white and silver Liquid Pearl drops onto the cupcake. The cute candles are straws! First, I ran the BlueBerry straw thru my Big Shot Machine to flatten it. I cut 2 pieces of the straw, and then took some yellow Baker's twine and "stuffed it" into the ends with some liquid glue. I got this great tip from our own Debbie here at Paper Sweeties!!!

Now go join in the fun for this great celebration!
There are LOTS of prizes to be had!!!

Congratulations Cupcake Inspirations!

Sending you Hope

Happy Tuesday! Hope you are all doing well!
I wanted to pop in and share a mixed media card that I made using several techniques for the 7Kids Store Blog today.

The background was created with the Vines (Memory Box) stencil and  Crackled Texture Paste. I placed the stencil onto my paper, then spread a thin layer of crackled texture paste over it. I pulled the stencil off, and set the paper aside to dry.
While that was drying, I began working on the butterfly. The butterfly was cut with one of the beautiful Butterflies (Stampendous) dies. I sponged the butterfly die cut with my mini blending tool and Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo Distress inks. I then took the music stamp from the Penny Black FootNotes set, and stamped it on the butterfly.
When my embossed panel was dry, I started sponging the edges with Tumbled Glass, Crushed Olive and Vintage Photo Distress inks. See all the fun texture?

If you look closely, you can see a couple of vellum doilies that I cut with the beautiful Splendid Circles (Spellbinders) dies. I placed one behind the butterfly and one on top of the butterfly. Sometimes I just want to add lots of textures to my cards! Hope you like my card and will be inspired to try using texture pastes. Tabitha will be adding some texture pastes to the 7KIDS Store soon!!!! Yay!!!!

I am going to add this card to the current
Mixed Media Card Challenge

Paper Sweeties March Inspiration Challenge #29

Hello my stampy friends! It is the 1rst of the month and that means...
it's time for another

And I really like this one! I am SO ready for spring!

I was inspired by the pretty blossoms in the photo and decided to make a pretty spring scene. You know...flowers blooming in the warm spring breeze! Can't wait! So tired of the cold, gray skies!

I stamped some Pretty Posies with Versamark Ink on some vellum paper and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I colored the the reverse sides with Copic markers. I cut them out with the matching Pretty Posie Sweet Cuts. I cut 3 more posies out of matching card stock and attached them to the vellum posies to give them some dimension.  That sweet picket fence was stamped and cut with the Home Tweet Home Sweet Bundle and khaki card stock. I added some shading to the fence with Copic Markers. And the sweet little sign is from Garden Time.

This is what I love about Paper Sweeties. You can mix and match and make so many fun and pretty projects!

Please join in the fun at our Paper Sweeties March Inspiration Challenge here!

Now go see what my super talented Paper Sweetie Teamies have created!
