Card Concept #44

Hello everybody!
It is time for another inspiration challenge here at

Here is our beautiful inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the green, red and gold in the photo, as well as the poinsettias.

I began this card by stamping the poinsettia onto vellum paper and heat setting it with gold embossing powder. I then colored it with my Zig watercolor pens. Next I used the matching die and cut a gold glittery poinsettia. It made the perfect shadow around the stamped poinsettia!

I once again wanted to honor our Guest Designer for this month Julee Tillman, owner and creator of Verve stamps! The beautiful sentiment is a Verve stamp called  Unto Us.  And the die is also by Verve. It is called Classy Label. I think this looks so elegant!

Thanks for visiting my blog today!
And please go visit my team mates
 for some fabulous creation!
Our team is divided into different styles and each designer explains how they were inspired by the challenge!  So come and join us and try your hand at a brand new "style" of card making or work in your comfort zone, it is totally up to you!

Paper Sweeties November Countdown

Welcome back to Day Two of the November
Paper Sweeties Releases!

And here is a card I made with one of this month's new releases:

I just LOVE this fun stamp set! It comes with that little checkmark so you can choose naughty or nice! Well...you see what I chose! And that little gift tag is part of the new  Sweet Cuts Stitched Tags #3 set that is part of this month's release.
Swoon!!!! I made several tags!

And then I decided to put one of the tags on a card!
I think it turned out really cute with all these festive papers!
The glittery stars are an older Sweet Cuts set called Be Happy!

Paper Sweeties November Sneak Peeks

Hi everybody!
It is the thirteenth of the month, so that means...
NEW releases here at Paper Sweeties !!!

And they are full of Holiday Cheer!!!

I decided to make a Count Down calendar. I don't usually make projects like this, but I thought I would give it a try!

I bought a pack of 1" wooden blocks and a  pack 2 1/4 by 1 3/4 " wooden pieces at Hobby Lobby. I painted everything with Gesso first.  I glued 4 of the bigger wood pieces together with wood glue to make a stand for the little blocks. I glued another piece to the back of stand after it dried.

I cut out 12 one inch squares of different design papers. I sponged each edge with Vintage Photo Distress  ink.  I then glued a square to each of the blocks with Modge Podge.

Next, I stamped each number from the new Days Until stamp set onto cream card stock as follows
Block One: 1, 2, 3, 0, 4, 8
Block Two: 1, 2, 6, 0, 7, 5

I punched each number out with a 1" punch. I did not have a 1" scallop punch, but I found a die that worked perfectly for the red and green scallops behind the numbers. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink, also.  I Mod Podged each layer to the 1" blocks.

I colored some wood veneer trees that I had in my stash with Twisted Citron and Forest Moss Distress inks. I attached them with Multi-Medium Matte liquid glue.

And now I have this cute, little rustic Countdown calendar!
I just love it! It was so much fun to make!

Please come tomorrow for some more SNEAK peeks of the November Paper Sweeties Releases!

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hello my stampy friends!

We are so excited here at Paper Sweeties
to be a sponsor for the
25 Days of Christmas Tags Blog Hop!

My tag features several different Paper Sweeties stamps.

First I stamped lots of different snowflakes and dots from different Paper Sweeties stamps (listed below) with Versamark ink and heat embossed them in silver and white. I also embossed all of the edges of the tag with Versamark ink and silver embossing powder.

The pretty mitten was made with the Paper Sweeties Stitched Tags #2 Sweet Cuts and some blue snowflake design paper.

The sentiment is silver glittery paper that was die cut with the Paper Sweeties Joy Sweet Cuts!

I added more sparkle with some pretty Paper Sweeties sequins!
I think this tag turned out so pretty!
