Freshly Made Sketches #200

Hello stampy friends! Hope you have had a good weekend!
My hubby is watching napping a golf tournament on TV so...
I went and played in my craft room this afternoon! That always makes for a good day! Right????

I decided to ink up my newest stamps and dies  from the August Stamps of Life kit club.
They are so cute! Also, I wanted to use my brand new Brick embossing folder from Stampin Up.

I joined in the fun at
Freshly Made Sketches.

They are celebrating their 200 sketch challenge with lots of prizes!!!
LOOK....

I just HAD to join in the fun!!!

The sketch inspired a rod in a closet with these sweet little t-shirts hanging from it, against a white brick wall. As that great storyteller and blogger Darnel Knauss says...sometimes you just have to listen to the hamster in your head! haha

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Cake & Ice Cream

Hello my stampy friends!!!
I am sharing a card that I totally CASED from the amazing Gayatri Murali! Swoon!!!!

Here is her card:

I have a really, really good friend who is celebrating her birthday this week!
I wanted to make a special card for her, so when I saw this card by Gayatri, I knew it would be the perfect design for my friend!!

The stars were made with white Wendy Vecchi embossing paste and a star (MFI) stencil. I sprinkled Ancient Gold Fine (Ranger) glittery embossing powder over the embossing paste and heat set it with my heat gun. The stars are real sparkly IRL! I can't wait to give her this card! I think she will really like it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Sweeties August Rewind!

Welcome my stampy friends!
It is REWIND Day here at Paper Sweeties
We want to show you how easy it is to mix the newest Paper Sweeties Stamps and Sweet Cuts with older releases to make all kinds of cards and projects!

Today's card is really SWEET!!!!
Yum! Candy! Candy! Candy!

I signed up for the "Online Card Classes:Background Check". One of the classes given by the wonderfully talented Laura Bassen taught how to make this window card. I don't think you are able to see in this photo, but the sentiment has been stamped on acetate with black StazOn ink! There is foam behind the white panel to make a window. None of this dimension is showing up in the photo, but it looks real cool IRL!!!!!  Sweet is from the Sweet As Can Be Sweet Cut from the May 2015 collection.

I stamped lots of candies from the NEW Let's Party stamp set, colored them with Copics and then cut them out with their matching Sweet Cuts!

Please go visit my Paper Sweetie Teamies for some GREAT inspiration!

Paper Sweeties August Release Party

Hello my Stampy friends!

Today is RELEASE DAY here at PAPER SWEETIES!

It's party time!!!!

Today I created a CAS one layer card:

I used this adorable Happy Cake Day stamp set and matching Sweet Cuts! I just love all the birthday goodness of this month's Releases!

First, I stamped the cake on to my white card stock. I stamped it again on a Post-It note, and then cut it out. I used this as a mask so I could sponge the background. I pulled up the mask and had this cool background.

I colored the cake with Copic markers, then added some details with some Glossy Accents, Wink of Stella Glitter Pen, and white Liquid Pearl.

Very simple, but colorful!

Here is WHAT'S NEW and AVAILABLE today

Hello my stampy friends! It is the first of the month!
And that means it is time for a NEW

AND

It is our 3rd Birthday,
so we are celebrating!!!

Please join our celebration!
You will have lots of chances to win lots of prizes!!!

Here is our GORGEOUS  August Inspiration photo!

Paper Sweeties hosts monthly challenges here on the blog! Each 1st of the month we will have a brand new inspiration board to help spark your creativity!  It’s as easy as 1-2-3 to create, share and win:
1. CREATE a NEW project based on the current inspiration board using ANY of your favorite crafty supplies — receive an EXTRA VOTE if you use something from Paper Sweeties such as a stamp, die or embellishment!  If you don’t have any stamps from Paper Sweeties yet, we have somecomplimentary digital images for you to try out!  Use this month’s board as a starting point for your project — be inspired by one or more of the colors, shapes, theme — ANYTHING GOES!
2. POST a DIRECT LINK to your project in our link gallery below — please link to your project post (not your entire blog) so we can easily find your creation. You do not need to have a blog to enter — you can use any of our online galleries to upload your project:  Flickr, PinterestFacebook orSplitcoast Stampers (keyword papersweeties)!
3. LINK back to this blog post so your readers can easily find us!
Our challenge will run for the entire month. You can play along as many times as you wish and combine with as many other challenges as you want! The challenges will end at 12 pm EST on the last day of each month. The winner will be revealed on the 1st of each month!

My challenge card features
Abigail, Jake and Emma!

Since the SWEETIE paper dolls are the foundation and starting point of this line, I decided to showcase the dolls and some of their cute outfit sets!

The dolls are ready for the party!

Because we are celebrating out 3RD Birthday, some of our ALUMNI Designers are joining us!!
So go hopping!!!!
