Praying For You

Welcome my stampy friends! Hope you are all well!
I wanted to share a card that I made  using the colors for
I just LOVE this color combo, so I had to play!

I just love Penny Black stamps! This one is called Pop Pop Poppy.
I colored it with Distress Markers and then spritzed it with water.
I placed my water color paper on top of the image and pressed it down, holding it a few seconds to drink up the ink. I then added some details with the Distress markers, and a Black Viva Pearl Pen. I needed another sympathy card, so I chose this PTI sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Paper Sweeties April Release Countdown

It is Day Two of the April Releases at Paper Sweeties!

Today's card shows a whole different style of card from the card I shared yesterday using the very same stamp-Tree Of Life! Today's card is a Mixed Media card.

I stamped the Tree Of Life and swing onto watercolor paper in Black Archival Ink.
Then I did some watercoloring with Salty Ocean and Old Pumice Distress Distress inks around the tree.

I did some stenciling around the tree top, and splattered some Ranger Blue Dylusions Spray mist and gold Distress stain over the entire image. Finally, I tore all around the edges to give it a distressed look. This was attached to some pretty Prima papers and lace. Same stamp, but different looks! Please come back tomorrow for more ideas! PLUS all of the new Paper Sweeties April Stamp sets and Sweet Cuts will be available for purchase tomorrow!

Check out my Paper Sweeties Teamies for more inspiration!

Paper Sweeties April Release Sneak Peeks

Hello my stampy friends!
Today is the 13th of the month so that means it is New Release time at Paper Sweeties!!!

And the NEW stamps and matching Sweet Cuts are just so fabulous! SO versatile!

Here is my first card using this new Release:
Tree of Life and the Tree of Life:Add-On

First, I sponged some clouds on a white card stock panel and set it aside. Next I stamped the birds, flowers, butterflies and leaves with Black Memento ink onto white card stock. I colored all of these images with Copic Markers. I then cut them all out with the matching Tree of Life:Add-On Sweet CutsI die cut the Tree from brown card stock and then embossed it with a woodgrain embossing folder.
Now the fun began...assembling!!! These stamps and Sweet Cuts are just so adorable!

Come back tomorrow for another sneak peek of these new Paper Sweeties stamps and matching Sweet Cuts!
Now hop over to my Paper Sweeties Teamies to see lots more fun projects!

You have no idea...

Hello my stampy friends! Hope all is well!
I am here today to share my newest project for the brand new
ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE here at 7 KIDS

This time there is a twist-It must be spring!

I just got this new stamp from the 7Kids Store called The Sweet Sounds by Penny Black ! I thought these beautiful bluebirds would be perfect for a spring project. I stamped it onto a Prima WaterColor Tag with black Archival ink. I then stamped it again on regular copy paper and carefully cut it out. I used this as a mask when I made the sun rays.
I made the sun rays with a stencil called Rays(Tim Holtz) and White Embossing Paste(Wendy Vecchi).   You can color this embossing paste with all kinds of things. (Here is a video showing Wendy Vecchi showing how to use her embossing pastes.) I used Sunshine Yellow Alcohol ink to color the paste for the sun. I put a glob of paste on my craft mat, then added the yellow ink and mixed it really well with my spatula. I  spread a thin layer of the colored embossing paste over the stencil and let it dry.
After the stenciled area was dry, I pulled the mask off of the bird image, and colored the image with watercolors. The background was colored with Ranger Distress Inks and water.
I added a pink doily and some other details.

Hope you like my tag AND I hope you will join us with our new
ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE starting today!
You could win a $25 gift certificate to the 7KIDS Store!

Paper Sweeties April Inspiration Challenge #30-Hoppy Easter

It is the first of the month, so that means it is time for the

Paper Sweeties April Inspiration Challenge #30
 'Hoppy Easter'

Here is our Inspiration Photo:

I am in love with the colors for this challenge!

Each month on the 1st we will have a brand new inspiration board to help spark your creativity. You can enter as many times as you wish throughout the month — the moretimes you enter, the more chances you’ll have to win!

It’s as easy as 1-2-3 to create, share and win:

1. CREATE a NEW project based on the current inspiration board using any of your favorite crafty supplies — receive an EXTRA VOTE if you use something fromPaperSweeties such as a stamp, die or embellishment!  If you don’t have any stamps from Paper Sweeties yet, we have some complimentary digital images for you to try out!  Use this month’s board as a starting point for your project — be inspired by one or more of the colors, shapes, theme — anything goes!

2. POST a DIRECT LINK to your project in our link gallery below — please link to your project post (not your entire blog) so we can easily find your creation. You do not need to have a blog to enter — you can use any of our online galleries to upload your project: Flickr, PinterestFacebook or Splitcoast Stampers (keyword papersweeties)!

3. LINK back to the blog post so your readers can easily find us!

Our challenge will run for the entire month. You can play along as many times as you wish and combine with as many other challenges as you want! The challenges will end at 12 pm EST on the last day of each month. The new challenge and winner will be revealed on the 1st of each month!

Here is my card:

Since we don't have any small children in our family at the moment,  I decided to use the colors of the challenge photo for inspiration rather than chicks and bunnies. I wanted to make a spring flowery card. I can't get enough of the Pretty Posie stamp set that was released in February. LOVE!!!!!
I mixed and matched lots of different Paper Sweeties stamps to make this fun background. I have them all listed below in the ingredient list. I hope you can see that I used lots of Stickles, Glossy Accents and Liquid pearl to dress up my card.

Now I hope you will join us for this challenge.

And don’t forget to link up your projects for the April Inspiration Challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree to the Paper Sweeties boutique and an invitation to be a guest designer for an upcoming challenge!
