...but you can buy cupcakes...

Hello! Happy Wednesday! It is time for another
here at 7Kids!

I decided to make (CASE) a card that I saw the wonderfully talented Laura Bassen create here! I made my card with the fun Carnival Toppers stamps and matching dies by Mama Elephant.

I used a yellow Gelato and Barn Door Distress ink for the water colored area. I stamped the sentiment with Black Archival Ink. I think this sentiment is fabulous, and so TRUE!!!

I stamped 3 candles and die cut them with the matching dies (LOVE)! They are adhered with foam tape. The designer papers are from the "It's a Celebration" 6x6 paper pad from Carta Bella

Now I hope you will join us in our new

Pen Pattern Butterflies

Hello my stampy friends! I wanted to make a quick post of a card I made for the current Curtain Call Challenge.

I just fell in love with the colors so I had to play!

I had just received this beautiful stamp set and matching dies from the 7KIDS Store called Pen Pattern Butterflies (Stampendous). I couldn't wait to ink them up! As you can see, I stamped the butterfly with Versamark ink onto watercolor paper. I heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then watercolored the butterfly with Distress Inks and water. I love that I was able to cut it out with the matching die! Yay!!!

Paper Sweeties January Release Day!

Hello! Today is Release Day here at Paper Sweeties!
You can finally purchase these darling Paper Sweeties Stamps and matching dies!
My card today features the Bouncing Baby stamp set.

I stamped the adorable little giraffe twice. Once on my background panel and again on some Copic X-Press It paper. The second one I colored with some Copic Markers to match the pretty paper. It was only appropriate that I use the Bundle of Joy paper bundle by Carta BellaThe tiny flowers are from the Bouncing Baby stamp set which has matching dies! I also added some pretty sequins from the Paper Sweeties Shoppe. I dropped a little pink Liquid Pearl into each sequin to add a some color. You are going to love these precious stamps!

Winter Rules

It is time for another ANYTHING GOES Challenge here at 7KIDS!

Our challenge has a twist this time-Winter!
Which is perfect right now! Even here in the Piedmont of North Carolina we have had unseasonably cold weather!

My card was inspired by the beautiful Altitude papers by Bo Bunny.

The chalkboard is actually one of the papers in this pad. I just simply framed it. I stenciled some white embossing paste with the Tim Holtz -Bubble  stencil to look like like snow on the frame. I then added some Shabby White (Stampendous) embossing powder to add more snow. The snowflake and foam on the hot chocolate were sprinkled with chunky Multi Crystal Glitter Mix . I was very pleased how my wintry card turned out!

Now come join us!
We always pick Top Three and a random winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to 7KIDS Store!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by...and stay warm!

Paper Sweeties January Release Countdown

Hello! Welcome to the Paper Sweeties Countdown for our new releases this month!
So cute! Cute! Cute!

I just love the font of the sentiments in Bouncing Baby so I chose to highlight one on this adorable onesie!

Have you ever made one of these? I have seen them, but I had never made one! Can you believe that??? I saw this one on Pinterest! You start with 4 1/4  X 5 1/2 card base. Cut the neck and legholes with a 1 1/2" circle punch. For the sleeves make a cut with your scissors towards the center and then cut down to the leg hole at an angle with your trimmer. Voila! You have a onesie!!
Now, please come back tomorrow for the release of these adorable baby stamp sets!!!

And check out what my Paper Sweeties Teamies have created!

Poppy the Owl

Hello my stampy friends!!! Have you made your list of New Year Resolutions yet?
At least I have thought about it!!!! heehee

On to my card...
I am hosting the 7KIDS Store Blog today and this is what I posted there!

Is this little guy precious, or what???
He is a die by Elizabeth Designs called Poppy the Owl!
I needed to make a masculine, pre-teen card and I thought he fit the description perfectly!

This is the card when opened!

The card base was made with another Elizabeth Designs die called Accordion Fancy Label.
This card required very little stamping-just the sentiment!
It was all die cuts and pretty papers by Carta Bella! A simple and fun card to make!

Thanks for stopping by!

Tip: Use a double sided tape on the tabs to insure they are adhered very well!!

Everything that I used on my card that is available at the 7KIDS Store is linked below!

Paper Sweeties January Inspiration Challenge #27 - 'Winter Wishes'

Happy New Year!
I cannot believe it is now 2015!!!

And since it is the first of the month, that means a new
Inspiration Challenge here at Paper Sweeties!

What a fabulous inspiration photo!
The snowflakes and the colors are what inspired me with this card.

I decided to use several different stamp sets on this card.  Because this is a Winter Wishes theme, I decided to use snowflakes. I die cut a large heart with white card stock. I stamped the heart with the larger snowflake from the set Holly Days with Versamark Ink and heat set it with Sand embossing powder. Next I used the smaller snowflake from this set, and heat embossed with silver.  The dots are from the Snow Time stamp set, and they were heat embossed in black .
I  applied Pumice Stone Distress ink onto my craft pad, spritzed with water and dabbed the embossed heart into it. All of the embossed areas resisted the Distress ink. I stamped the sentiment on Vellum paper and heat embossed with black. The sentiment is from the retired Paper Sweeties Snowman/Winter stamp set.
I stamped some hearts from the Be Happy stamp set with silver ink in the corners. I decided to fran-tage the other corners. I added some sequins and then mounted everything on a Black glitter  panel.
This card is very shiny IRL which I thought was appropriate for celebrating the new year!!

Now please go visit my Paper Sweeties Teamies!
And welcome our newest teamie...Jill Norwood!
She is totally awesome!
You will be totally inspired!
