I love you

Welcome to the 7 KIDS Valentine Hop!
Are you ready for hearts and flowers? Oh, and don't forget love!
Well...hop around and you are gonna see lots of all three!

Here is my card:

I decided to make a pretty Valentine for my sweet hubby!
I stamped some manilla tags with an old text stamp (Hero Art??) first and then cut some flowers with the Tim Holtz Tattered Flower Garden Die Strip.  I inked each flower with Picked RaspberryWorn Lipstick and Tea Dye Distress inks. The flowers were held together with Tim Holtz fasteners.
The hearts were cut with one of my new favorite die sets by Spellbinders Media Mixage called Hearts One. I cut the largest heart with some paper from the WildFlower (Carta Bella) and the middle heart with another manilla tag. I stenciled both hearts with Tea Dye Distress ink and the MPD Graduated Diamonds(MFT) stencil. I also cut 3 smaller hearts, inked them and then added some Aged Gold (Stampendous) embossing powder to them to give them some texture.
Before putting everything together on the card base, I distressed all the edges of the papers with my Tim Holtz Distress tool. I think this gives the card a nice vintage feel.

I hope you will all share your Valentine projects with us!
One random hopper will win a
$20 GIFT CERTIFICATE to the 7Kids store!!!

29 again?

Guess what I needed to do???
Yep! Make a funny card for one of my friends who is having a birthday!
I think this image by Greeting Farm has the perfect expression on her face for this sentiment!

Monday, as she is called, was stamped in Black Archival Ink on Tim Holtz watercolor paper. I colored her with Distress Markers and a water brush. Love how you can use the Distress markers as watercolors!I wanted to keep this card very simple and to the point, so I used the current sketch at

Hope this card brought a smile to your face! It sure was fun giving it to my friend!
She didn't mind the sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by!

Be My Valentine!

Hope everybody had a nice weekend! It was very quiet around here! No football!!!

I just wanted to pop in and share an easel Valentine card that I have made.

I saw a card similar to this somewhere in blogland and I wanted to try it. After I folded the easel card, I die cut the center with my Sizzix Fancy Labels dies.

I then cut out out 2 hearts with the Media Mixage Heart One(Spellbinder) die.
I adhered polka dot paper to the front of the heart and added a little white Fran-tage to it.
The second heart was Fran-taged with silver embossing powder.  I glued some twine between the two hearts and suspended them in the center of the Fancy Label die cuts. I embellished the card with some silver glitter, Prima flowers, pearls and a Cosmo Border(Memory Box) die cut.

Hope you like my easel Valentine!

Pretty in Pink Paper Trey Blog Hop

Hope everyone is staying warm on this very cold Saturday!
The perfect day for playing in my craft room! Yay!
I wanted to share a card that I made for the January Paper Trey Ink Blog Hop Challenge-

And this is my card:

I looked through my Paper Trey stamps and this one-Frilly Flowers- caught my eye. It has been neglected for awhile, so I decided to ink it up! I needed a sketch.
So I chose this week's Viva La Verve sketch.

I stamped the two horizontal panels with the Paper Trey Background Basics-Postmark stamp instead of using paper, etc.

Thanks for stopping by!

Betsy Bluebell

Hello! Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday! I am, because it is time for another
Anything Goes Challenge here at 7 Kids College Fund!!!
Please join the fun!

Here is a look at my card:

I got this stamp set a few months ago and this is the very first time that I have inked her up!
She is called Betsy Bluebell (Penny Black). Isn't she cute?? I colored her with my Copic markers to match the fun papers in this Fancy Pants Park Bench 6x6 paper pad. I also followed the current sketch from Viva la Verve:

I die cut Betsy Bluebell with an old LifestyleCrafts Wonky Circles and Scalloped Circles die set. And them added some Black Liquid Pearl  on each scallop! I thought this really framed her nicely with all of that busy design paper in the background.

I hope you will join us this time with our new challenge!
You may be chosen as one of the Top Three and if you use an image from the 7Kids store, you will be eligible to win a gift certificate to the 7Kids store!

Card In a Box

A friend of mine told me about this fun Card In a Box tutorial by Monica Gale of My Many Passions, so I just had to try it out!  It was so much fun!
And it folds up into a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square, so you can put into an envelope.

Well...if you don't use rolled up flowers like I did!

I am going to submit this into the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge which is something new. This technique is new to me and my MME"Adorbs" paper pad is new!
Does that qualify????

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!!!

A brand new year and a brand new challenge!
It's time for a new Anything Goes Challenge at 7Kids College Fund!

The Design Team's challenge was to use white on white!
I cheated just a little! I wanted to add a little sparkle to celebrate the new year, so I added some gold!!

Here is my card:

The sentiment, the mask, the champagne glasses, and the flourishes were all cut with my Silhouette Portrait machine. And then the fun began! I used lots of Stampendous Shabby White and Shabby Gold Fran-tage embossing powders. I covered the cut outs with Versamark ink first, and then sprinkled the embossing powders. I had glitter all over the place! Even my face!!!!
The background was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder called Bit of Paisley. I added gold glittery stars to balance the gold embossing.
I wasn't able to get a very good photo. It is so hard to show all the details in a photo with a white on white project!

I hope you will join us with our new challenge for the new year!
You may be chosen as one of the Top Three or  if you use an image from the 7Kids store, you will be eligible to win a gift certificate to the 7Kids store!

Wouldn't you like this fabby badge:

or a Gift Certificate!!!
It could be yours!!!

Please check out the other design team creations for some great inspiration!
