Cheers!

Cheers everybody! It is New Year's Eve!
I hope everyone has a safe, healthy and happy 2015!

It is also time for another ANYTHING GOES Challenge!
So I hope you will join us! We just love for you to play with us!

As you can see, I used the Holiday Cheers (Your Next Stamp) set again! I felt it was totally appropriate for New Year's Eve! I tweaked the stamp for my "Cosmopolitan" by masking the candy cane and making a straw! I used glitter on the rims of this drink and the Margarita! The sentiment "Cheers"was cut 3 times on my Silhouette and glued together to give it some dimension. The black panel is glitter paper from American Crafts. It is hard to see this in the photo. Finally I added some sequins to add more sparkle to my festive card!

Again...Happy New Year!

Paper Sweeties December Release Rewind!

Well...it is the 16th and that means REWIND here at Paper Sweeties which means a mix of old and new!  I made a gift card card. That sounded funny, didn't it?

I saw an example of one in a magazine and I just loved it! So I knew I had to try it!
The gift card is actually put in the pocket on the front of the card,
so you can write a nice note on the inside!

The little trees are from the new Snow Time stamp set and matching Sweet Cuts.
After I stamped them onto white card stock, I colored them with Copics. I added some gold Stickles onto the stars and garlands to add some glitz! I used an older Sweet Cuts set from Paper Sweeties called Joy for the sentiment. LOVE this set!!!! The sentiment was cut with paper that is like red velvet!  I found it at Michael's and it looks so pretty IRL! The final touch was some Peppermint Baker's Twine and Red sequins, which can be purchased at the Paper Sweeties Shoppe!

Now please go visit my Paper Sweetie Teamies and you will be totally inspired!

Paper Sweeties December Release Party

It is the 15th and that means it is RELEASE Day here at Paper Sweeties!
We have been showcasing these new stamps and sweet cuts this week and now they are available!!!

I made this adorable tag with the Snow Time stamp set and matching Snow Time Sweet Cuts.
This stamp set and matching Sweet Cuts set have so many possibilities!
I stamped this little guy with Black Memento Tuxedo ink and then colored him with Copic Markers.
I easily cut him out with the matching die! I decided to add some snow inside the snow globe with some embossing paste and a snow stencil. I put Glossy Accents on the snowman's hat. I added black Viva Pearl Pen to his eyes and mouth.  Glittery snowflakes, sequins, ribbon and tinsel completed the tag. This tag was so easy to make! I made 16!!!!

I hope my Paper Sweetie Teamies and I have given you lots of fun ideas!
Please go check out what they have  for you today!

Paper Sweeties December Release Countdown!

Hello! It is Day 2 of the Paper Sweeties December Release Countdown! More sneak peeks!
Today I am sharing a card that I made with some new Paper Sweeties Sweet Cuts called Snow Time. This set also has a matching stamp set!
I have seen some similar cards to this one in blogland and I just had to try it!

I sponged the card base with Sea Glass (SS) and Ardrey Blue (SS) inks.  I spread transparent embossing paste thru a snow stencil, and sprinkled with Clear Rock Candy Distress (TH) glitter, before heat setting it. This made a beautiful, sparkly snowy background. I die cut 2 trees and a snowman with the Snow Time Sweet Cuts. I cut out some snow layers and attached the trees and snowman with foam adhesive to give dimension between each layer. I used white Flower Soft along the snow landscape edges to hide where I placed the die cuts.  The glittery snowflakes and sequins complete the snow scene. The lighting in this photo almost seems like there is light inside the card, but it's not.

Please hop along to see what my Paper Sweetie Teamies have made!
The new releases will be available December 15th!

Paper Sweeties December Release Sneak Peeks

It is the 13th, so that means it is time for Sneak Peeks of the New Releases here at Paper Sweeties!

And I love this one!!!!!
Cute little birdies and birdhouses...SWEET!

I colored the birdhouse and little birdie with Copic Markers. I applied Glossy Accents to the little Christmas lights. They look just like little globes IRL! I cut out a snowbank and applied glue along the edge. I sprinkled white Flower Soft along the glue to make it look like freshly fallen snow. And then I thought...I should do this on the house, too! I punched a snowflake in white glitter paper and placed it on the upper left corner. I thought this little wintry scene turned out so cute!

Now be sure to hop along and see what my Paper Sweetie Teamies have created!
I am sure you will be inspired! The new releases will be available on the 15th!

No Peeking Tag

Hello stampy friends!!! Just popping in to show a tag I made using the cute No Peeking(Mama Elephant) stamp set. I thought it would be fun to have the little guys peeking from behind a candy cane!

I stamped the images with Black Memento Ink on to Neenah Solar White card stock, and then colored them with Copic Markers. The sentiment was stamped on vellum. The candy cane was made using the Grand Candy Cane (Memory Box) die.  Added some stars, bling, snowflakes and some pretty red ribbon to complete the tag!

Hope you have a great week!

Peace & Joy

Hello Stampy Friends! I hope you are having a good weekend!
A quick post of a card I wanted to share.  TWO challenges inspired me to get in my craft room and create this afternoon! (Of course while watching the Panthers whoop up on the Saints! heehee)

I decided this was gold, not yellow and silver not gray!
And I just LOVE that sketch!

Candy Canes

Tis the season!!!!!
And it is time for another ANYTHING GOES Challenge here at 7KIDS!
We always select the TOP 3 plus a random winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from the 7Kids Store! Please join in the fun!

I made this card with the Grand Candy Cane die from Memory Box.

I just love how this turned out!
I die cut the candy cane 4 times with some cardboard backing that I had from a paper pad. I then die cut 2 more times with a striped designer paper. I glued these all together to make my 2 candy canes. I lightly painted the canes with some watered down Gesso (which I purchased at Michael's) and sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink to "age" them a bit. I finished with some Antique Linen Distress glitter around the edges.

For the background, I sponged the edges of the designer paper with Vintage Photo Distress ink and then distressed the edges with my scissors. I also stenciled some words from the Christmas (Tim Holtz) stencil with Crackled Texture Paste (Dreamworks). After the paste dried, I colored the letters with Festive Berries Distress Ink(Ranger).

Lastly, I added Shabby White and Gold
fran-tage, and some stars.
I tied my candy canes with red crinkle ribbon, twine, and 2 jingle bells. I adhered the bundled candy canes to the background paper and added a glittery sentiment!
Hope you like my mixed media Candy Canes card! I had so much fun making it!

Paper Sweeties December Inspiration Challenge #26 - 'Happy Holidays'

Today I finally get to announce that I am so honored and so excited to be asked to join
the Design Team at Paper Sweeties!!!!  Happy Dance! Happy Dance!!!

And I get to start with this fabulous inspiration photo!
Happy Holidays!

I just love all of the cute Holiday stamps here at Paper Sweeties
So many options, so many choices!

Today I used Holly Days Stamps and Sweet Cuts to make my card.

First, I die cut the snowflake in various places of a 4 X 51/4 panel of white card stock. I adhered this to some designer paper of the same size with foam adhesive tape.
Next I used the Happy Days stamps and stamped the ornaments and snowflakes with Versamark Ink. I heat embossed them with gold embossing powder, and die cut them with their matching dies! Before I lifted them out of the die, I sponged them with Festive Berries and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks. The distress ink will not stick to the embossed areas.  Finally, I "hung" the ornaments with gold twine. Red Paper Sweeties sequins were added to finish the card.
Hopefully I have inspired you to join in this challenge and to to visit the Paper Sweeties Shoppe

If not...go check out my Paper Sweetie Teamies!
I know you will be inspired by them!
