Bees with a Cupcake

Hello my stamping friends!!!!

Is this not the cutest stamp set??? It is called Bees with Cupcake (WildRose Studio). I think these little bees are adorable!!! I stamped the image with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with Black Embossing Powder before I colored it. I colored the little bees with Black Soot (Ranger) and Mustard Seed (Ranger) Distress markers. The cupcake was colored with Worn Lipstick (Ranger) Distress Marker and a water brush. I "sprinkled" the top of the cupcake icing with different colors of Pearl Pens (Viva).  And the candle was colored with Bundled Sage (Ranger).
I can't wait to give this cute birthday card to someone special!!!

You Float My Boat

Hello everyone!!!
Hope you have been having a fabulous week!
I know I am glad it is Wednesday for 2 reasons. One it means this work week is almost over and second it means it is time for another  Anything Goes Challenge here at 7Kids!
We had some great entries last time! SO many talented people out there!

I wanted to share a card I made featuring the fun stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn called Float My Boat.  Both are available at the 7Kids store.

I followed this fantastic sketch from

The papers from CartaBella-Beach Boardwalk 6X6 pad were perfect for my card. If you look closely, you can see how I took a craft knife and cut out areas in the wavy paper to place the little sailboats in. Don't they look like they are floating in the ocean?  I stamped the sailboats with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with Black embossing powder. I stamped them again on different scraps of designer paper. I fussy cut the sails and paper pieced them onto the embossed sailboats. I think they are so cute!

I hope you will join us here at 7KidsAnything Goes Challenge!

Sky's the Limit!

Hello my crafty friends! I hope you all have been having a wonderful week!
I wanted to share some information about a very talented, very FUNNY blogging friend, Darnell!
You must start following her blog, not only because of her fabulous cards, but she can tell a funny story! Darnell challenged herself several months ago to start using more of her "never before used stuff", therefore coming up with the phrase NBUS.

And now...she has come up with a new Challenge!

Isn't this a fantastic idea?????
I couldn't wait to play!

This is what I made:

I may have used this stamp set once, but it was a VERY long time ago,
so I think it will qualify.

It is a modified Tri-fold card.
This is how it looks like when opened:

Now go check out Darnell's Blog!
You'll be glad you did!

Feline Great

Hello! It is Mackie! I am hosting the 7Kids Store blog today!
I have made another card with the fun stamp set Feline Great by Kraftin Kimmie. I think this is the third card that I have posted using this great stamp set! I just love it!
The pretty papers are by Doodlebug called Springtime. You can purchase these items and much more at the 7Kids Store!
I was in the mood to make a Tri-Shutter card. It has been awhile since I have made one of these. You can make these Tri-Shutter cards as simple or as ornate as you would like! I was making this one for one of my nieces for her birthday. It needed to be a little youthful, so I wanted it to be bright and cheery. She just LOVES animals! She wants a cat, but poor mom is allergic to them, so I thought she just might like a card with a kitty theme!
I wanted to follow the embossing theme we have going on with our current Anything Goes Challenge. I did heat embossing and dry embossing on this card.
I stamped the image with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed it with black embossing powder. I colored the image with Distress Markers and a water brush.

This is how the card looks when it is closed:

And how it looks when it is opened:

I think she will like this cheery, fun birthday card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Graduation!

Hello! Happy weekend!

I spent this beautiful morning with my family at my niece's high school graduation!
I can't believe how fast time flies by! I remember the day she was born like yesterday!!!
She has turned into a beautiful young lady..inside and out!

I wanted to make her a special Graduation card, so when I saw Marisa Ritzen's card for the Dare Diva Verve challenge, I was totally inspired!
I followed her sketch, but used different papers and few tiny changes!

Here is my card:

And the inside:

I had so much fun making this card!
Probably because it was being made for my special girl!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Times

Hello! Hello!
It is time for another Anything Goes Challenge here at 7Kids!!
We had so many beautiful entries last week and we thank you very much!!
It was so much fun celebrating our 100th anniversary!

Our theme this week is embossing! I think embossing always adds great pizazz to any project.
I used both dry embossing and heat embossing on my project this week.

Here is my card:

I used the beautiful Timeless stamp and matching Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.
As you can see, I dry embossed 2 background circles. I rubbed Versamark ink on the rim of the clock and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. It is hard to see this in the photo.
All of the clock pieces and gears were inked with Tumbled Glass, Frayed Burlap and Tea Dye Distress Inks. The background panel has been stenciled with water and Tea Dye Distress ink and the Clockwork Stencil by Tim Holtz. Most of this has been covered up by the clock pieces and the white and gold fran-tage. It looks really cool IRL.
The tag was made with a Spellbinders Ribbon Tag, which was inked around the edges before I took it out of the die. This gives the tag that soft framed look around the sentiment.
And the final touch...pretty ribbon!
Hopefully you will be inspired to try some embossing on your next projects!

And join us with our new Anything Goes Challenge!!!
