Wish Big

Believe it or not, I needed to make a card that is not Christmas related!!!!
I needed to make a birthday card!!!!
So I needed to choose colors that were not related to Christmas colors!
I recently got this little stamp by Elisabeth Bell called Little Wishes.
I colored her with Copic Markers and lots of Stickles.  She is so sweet.
I rolled up scraps of paper to make the little candles. I fussy cut some "flames" and added gems to them to make them glow.
I hope the little girl I need to give this to has a big wish, and it comes true!!!
And.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Silver Poinsettia

I wanted to share one more Christmas card! I made a few of these to send to my special friends!
I loosely followed this week's sketch

My poinsettia was too large to put the sentiment beside it, so I had to position it a little lower than the sketch called for. This gorgeous poinsettia is from Stampin Up. I just love it! I stamped it on vellum card stock with Versamark ink. Then heat embossed with SU silver embossing powder! I took a blade and cut out the center leaves and lifted them up. I used some silver Liquid Pearls for the stamens.
Love how it turned out!
All of the stamp and papers are from Stampin Up! The tinsel is Tim Holtz.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!!!

Gold and Silver Christmas

Hello!!!!
It's time for a new Anything Goes Challenge at 7Kids College Fund!
Our theme for this challenge is Silver and Gold! LOVE!!!!

I followed the current Sketchbook Saturday sketch
to make my card.

First , I embossed the right side of the card with a snowflakes folder.  I stamped the sentiment  (Peace Joy Love-Lawn Fawn) in the upper left corner with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.  I dribbled some gold embossing powder around the sentiment and melted it with my heat gun. Very cool effect!

The Tim Holtz Tattered poinsettia was cut twice. Once with vellum and and once with gold glittery card stock. I sprinkled Stampendous Shabby White fran-tage embossing powder on the vellum leaves and carefully melted it with my heat gun. So pretty!!!! I just loved the way the poinsettia looks IRL! So I made the stars the same way! The stars were cut out with the Tim Holtz Stacked Stars die. I cut the gold snowflakes with my new Simon Says Stamps snowflakes. These dies are so cute!!!
I really like the way my gold and silver card turned out!

Now it's your turn!

Let It Snow

I just received some new stamps and paper from Stampin Up
and I couldn't wait to play with them!!!
And this is what I made!!

And then I saw what the theme was for the current challenge at CAS-ual Fridays!

So I had to join!!!
Mr. Snowman is stamped with Pool Party(SU)ink. I added a little Shabby White embossing powder on him to give him a little pizazz! And sprinkled the card with snow sequins!
Very simple, but lots of fun and sparkle!

Vintage Santa Tag

***This tag was selected a Featured Artist on the Happy Holidays Mixed Media Color Challenge***

It's Terrific Tuesday!!!
I just wanted to share Christmas Mixed Media tag that I have made!

I started with a large and a small manilla tag. I stamped my craft sheet with Barn Door and Peeled Paint Distress inks. I misted the ink with water and then dragged the tags thru the wet inks. I then edged the tags with Frayed Burlap Distress ink. I stamped (Santa's Wish-Stamper's Anonymous) the background with black Archival ink.
After I stamped the Santa, I colored him with some Distress Barn Door, Peeled Paint and Picket Fence markers. I thought this made the Santa really stand out.
The red poinsettias were made with my Silouhette Portrait machine. And I finished it off with some seam binding stained with Barn Door Distress ink and a gold cord!

The inks and markers that are available in the 7Kids College Fund store are listed below!

There is still time to join our  Anything Goes Challenge !

Gingerbread Dough

Hello!
A good friend of mine saw this post on Pinterest
and asked me if I could make her something like it.  My friend thought they would be perfect for her nieces and nephews.

I thought it was really cute!
Well... the first thing that came to my mind was my Silhouette Portrait. Sure enough, there were lots of Gingerbread men! I picked one and got started! I added Liquid Applique as icing, rhinestones for their bellies and a red polka dot bow tie. I copied the poem onto white cardstock with my computer and cut them out with Spellbinder's Labels 8 dies. The pretty paper is from Stampin Up!

And this is what I came up with!

Clear bag example:

Here is a close up of the poem:

I am not sure which one I like the best!

I colored him with Copic markers. It doesn't show very well in this photo, but I used black Liquid Pearl for his mouth and eyes. And the holly berries on his hat are little red pearls.
