It's Owl Good!

I work with a friend and this is her favorite catch phrase..."It's all good!"
So I just had to make this card for her! Isn't it funny???

I created this card with this fabulous sketch from

The owl is from the  Owls2Love (Stamps of Life) stamp set. I paper pieced the owl with paper from the Doodle Deux (Prima) 6x6 paper pack. Added wiggly eyes and some Glossy Accents to his beak. He has been stamped on a journal card from a Project Life kit. I added some Washi tape and paper strips behind the journal card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
And remember...
It's all good!

You are such a sweetheart

One of my friends directed me to this fun blog!!!
the City Crafter's Blog

Week 143-Have Fun!
Make a card or project using heart's, dosen’t have to be Valentine related, just needs to have heart's.

And this is what I made!

Isn't she sweet??? I have had this little MFT stamp for some time, and I thought she would be perfect. She has little red hearts all over her shirt. And the butterfly has a heart on his wing!
I colored her with prisma color pencils. I still can NOT color hair!!!!! Ugh!!!

The frilly frame is a new Spellbinders die called Decorative Labels Eight, which goes with the Labels Eight dies. This pink girly paper is from the Recollections -With Love 6x6 paper pad. I cut out 1 heart from the Simon Says Stamps -Lots of Hearts Die set to make my little embellie on the sentiment banner.
the little button is also from Recollections.

So glad that you stopped by!!!!

Wheel be friends forever!

Just a quick post of a card I made using this week's

I just thought this was so much fun!!!!
I watched Betsy Veldman's tutorial to learn how to do this masking technique.
I had just received this stamp set pinwheels2stamp (Stamps of Life) so I was just dying to use it!
And then I remembered my Lil' Inkers pinwheel die and decided it would be cute to add a little 3-D pinwheel, too!

Such sad news...

Thanks so much to all of you for participating in our color challenges here at CR84FN!
Sadly, this will be our last one!

Mona has decided to end this challenge. Her words...
"It is rather simple, I just decided to end the challenge. .... I'm just ready for change and wanted to make room to explore other opportunities."

So with great sadness...this is our last week.
I was so honored to be a part of this great team. Mona and my teammates are all so talented and inspiring and such a nice group of girls! I am going to miss them terribly!

So my last card is here:

I used 2 different stamp sets. The flower stems and vase are flowers2share (Stamps of Life) and the fun sentiment is Treasured Words (Verve). Before I stamped the flowers, I misted the card base a little bit with Mister Huey's Calico White. The pretty little posies are made with a Rolled Rose die(MFT) and colored the stems with a Distress Marker. The vase has been paper pieced. I added some fun gems to the centers of the word Bloom.

Please visit  our last CR84FN Color Challenge and check out all of the beautiful cards from the other design team members!
And give them some love, because we are all truly sad.

Please continue to visit us in blogland!!!!!

XOXOXO

XOXOXO's to everybody!
It is getting closer and closer to the season of love! So I decided to create my first Valentine of the season with our beautiful colors that Mona has selected for our new challenge over at
  CR84FN Color Challenge #70:
Aqua ~ Tan ~ Lt. Yellow

I just LOVE these bright cheery colors right now because our days have been gray and gloomy around here!!!!

And this is my card:

I just got this new exclusive for SimonSays stamp set and matching dies. It is called Lots of Hearts. I stamped a bunch of the different hearts included in this set with Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I cut them out with their matching dies and layered them on the card with different layers of foam tape. Before I attached the hearts to the card I added this beautiful lace and satin ribbon! I tied a pretty bow and added 2 crystal stick pins(Maya Road). The little tag was cut with the Tiny Tags (Paper Trey Ink). XOXO was stamped with the Love Notes (Verve) stamp set. The beautiful papers are from Follow Your Heart(MME). The papers were all distressed and sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink before I adhered them together.

Now who should I give this to? Hmmm....

Please visit our CR84FN Color Challenge and check out all of the wonderful creations from the other design team members, as well as our guest designer..Lisa Snowdy from "Adventures in Paperland"!

Loving this!

Just a quick post of a scrapbook page that I did yesterday at an all day Crop with my buds!
We had so much fun! It was our Christmas party! Yes...we know it is after Christmas! It just seems to work out best for everybody's schedules.
Anyhow...I don't post very many of my LO's, because, frankly I don't do that many. But my DH and I went to a Balloon Rally this fall with my sister and her family.  I just had to document this adventure, because we just had so much fun! The colors of the balloons were fabulous and it was a beautiful fall day. Just perfect for photos and LO's.

I followed this awesome sketch from Creative Scrappers:

I found this Spellbinder's die called Up, Up and Away. It was perfect because it has a hot air balloon.
When I purchased it, I thought there were more cuts on the balloon. But it is mainly embossed areas, so if you look closely you can see that I had to sand the embossed areas to make them show up, then I sponged the edges in white.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love and a chalkboard!

Hello! We are in week two for the current CR84FN Color Challenge!!!

This week I wanted to try my hand on this new trend in the stamping world called the chalkboard technique. I know, I know...you've never seen a pink chalkboard! But I wanted to use our yummy colors from our current CR84FN challenge!

AND...I wanted to make a sweet Valentine's card!!!!

This chalkboard technique was so much fun! I will definitely try it again! If you are interested in this technique, go check out Betsy Veldman's tutorial for the current Make It Monday Challenge.
It is a combination of heat embossing, a white watercolor pencil and sponging with some white ink!

Of course, I had to add some romance to the card, so I added lots of Prima flowers and a paper doily.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
And don't forget...check out what the other designers have done and
come play with us at CR84FN!!!!!
