Merry Christmas

Hello and hope you are having a terrific Thursday! I can't believe it has been 1 week since Thanksgiving! Ooo... I could go for some pecan pie again!!
I'm just popping in to show a Christmas card that I created after receiving my new Lil Inker's package in the mail- the Instant Camera Die. I just love this die.

I decided to make a little scene in the middle of the frame. I used the Joys of the Season Cricut cartidge to cut the little trees. I wanted some snow, so I cut out the snow hills in white card stock and then ran it thru the Xyron machine to get it nice and sticky. I then dunked it into white glitter. So pretty!

I can't remember which cartridge I used for the numbers, I think it is Plantin Schoolbook. You can see the cool little perforations that the Lil Inker's die makes when you cut this frame. I just love it!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you got a little inspiration from this post!

CR84FN68

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I hope you had lots of good food, family and good napping!
And of course...good stamping! And now Christmas will be here before we know it!   So I made a Christmas card for our new color challenge starting this week at CR84FN.

I loved making this card because I loved working with our colors this week at CR84FN!

Burgundy ~ Gray ~ Cream

I used a stamp set and matching dies (Heartfelt Creations) that I have had in my stash for a very long time. I heat embossed each petal with silver embossing powder (SU).

Please ignore my messy desk

This card is just one big compilation of all kinds of dies and stamp sets.

Get out your inks, stamps, and papers and join us by linking your creations to CR84FN

On Dasher, On Dancer...

I wanted to create a card for this week's Scrappy Mom Terrific Tuesday Challenge-Critters. So as I was thinking what to do, I remembered this awesome sketch that I saw at the My Favorite Things blog

I decided to use these pretty papers from MME-Santa Claus 6x6 paper pad. The papers are such a rich color that I decided to go with this more elegant reindeer, rather than a cutesy critter. He was cut 3 1/2" from the Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge with gold glitter paper from the DCWV Christmas & Winter Glitter Stack.

I just love this sentiment from Scrappy Moms Winter Wishes stamp set!
It is so appropriate (for me anyway)!!!!
It is stamped onto a Ticket Tab die form My Favorite Things.

His collar was cut from DCWN glitter paper stack in red. I added some red and gold gems to his collar, too. I zigzag stitched all around the panels.

Peace

Peace, y'all!!!!
I couldn't resist! Just wanted to share a card that I was inspired to make by this week's
Cas-ual Fridays Challenge #79

And here it is! Just love blue for Christmas. Isn't this Peace die (PTI) just so cool.
I cut it with some white glitter paper from the DCWN Christmas & Winter glitter paper pad.  The snowflakes were also cut with ice blue paper from this pad using the Winter Lace Cricut cartridge.

IRL the snowflakes and the Peace die cuts are very shiny.
And since the theme here was snowflakes, I had to use my Snowflake (Cuttlebug) embossing folder for the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving Holiday!

Exciting News!!!!!

Happy dance! Happy dance!
I am so excited!!!!! I have been invited to join the Design Team of CR84FN Color Challenge!
CR84FN has been one of my very favorite challenge blogs for a very long time...so when the fabulous
Mona asked me to join, I said YES! YES! YES! The other designers are fabulous, too! Always great inspiration and wonderful ideas! So please check them out! I have all their names listed in my sidebar.

Well... on to this week's color challenge!

And here is my card....

I know you don't see many snowmen in purple scarves, but isn't he a cutie???
He is from the Holiday Hugs (MFT) stamp set. I colored him with SU watercolor pencils. I just watched an awesome coloring video by Jen Shults! (I still need to practice, because I have been a little fearful of coloring stamps, but I am trying to get braver!)

The snowflakes -Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge-were cut with very shiny gold glitter paper, as well as the inverted scallop circle behind the snowman. INR it adds great sparkle to the card!

Please check out the wonderful creations from the other designers!

Holiday Joy

Hello! Just a quick post of another card that I made yesterday!
I used the Deconstructed Sketch for this week:

And the beautiful colors for the current CR84FN Color challenge:

And I came up with this card:

Those gorgeous ornaments are from the Ornament Keepsakes (SU) stamp and matching die sets!!!
I heat embossed the larger one with silver embossing powder. And stamped the smaller one with silver ink. I added silver Liquid Pearls around the frame. The papers are Kraft and MME-Santa Claus.

Awesome!

I hope you are having a great Sunday afternoon! I am! Anytime I am watching/listening to my beloved Panthers and crafting at the same time, it is a great day! I need to make a masculine birthday card, so this is what I created. I love this paper pad. It is full of geographic lines and swirls and the colors are fantastic.  I thought I would just cut strips of the different patterns and build on that.

I heat embossed Awesome with black embossing powder. It still looked a little plain, so I added the black twine behind the sentiments.  Easy and simple, but lots of impact.
since it was simple.... I decided to enter it into this week's

                                           Thanks for stopping by!
