Happy Sunday!

This card was stamped with a new Hero Art stamp that I just purchased. I love flowers!  I plan to link this card to this week's  CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #51 -Flowers or Trees!
I decided to use this stamp for some Mother's Day cards that I wanted to send to some special women I know! I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored them with Copic markers. I added liquid pearl to the centers. The side panel is a strip of black card stock that I also dry embossed. I don't know if you can see that very well in this photo. The sentiment is Happy Thoughts (Verve).

Speaking of photos....my beloved Picasso is gone!!!   I have both iphoto and Photoshop Elements, but I can't figure them out at all! Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

This is another card I used with the same stamp, but  different Copic Markers:

Hope you have a great week!

Flying by to say Hi!

Happy Monday!

Just wanted to make a quick post to show this cute card I made with a new Butterfly die I just got from
Stamps of Life! This butterfly die has a matching stamp set called butterflies2build.
The gorgeous papers are Paper Trey Ink's Beautiful Blooms and Hawaian Shores.

I paper pieced the wings and popped them up with some foam tape.
I added black Liquid Pearl drops to the butterfly's body and the antenna.
The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn!
Nice and simple!
Pretty paper makes pretty cards!!

Love Blooms

I made this funky card for my husband! Our 34th anniversary is next weekend! I can't believe it!
Since it was for my husband, I didn't want it to be too girly, but I wanted to let it have some romance too!
so I thought...hmmm?

I wanted to make a card for the CR84FN Color Challenge
The colors are Medium Pink, Tan and Cream.
I thought these colors would be perfect for my anniversary card!
Pink for romance...tan & cream for manliness!

So this is what I created! I made the flowers with Retro Flowers die set (QuickKutz) out of different papers from the MME Madison Avenue collection. The grass was cut with a (MFT) Fresh Cut Grass die. The stems were fussy cut with the brown striped paper! The letters were cut on my Cricut with the Alphalicious cartridge.

Hope my hubby likes it!

Love

Awww...love is in the air!
Good friends of mine are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary!  I decided to make a romantic card for them.  I feel that butterflies, flowers and wrought iron gates fit that catagory!
The colors were inspired by the  CR84FN color challenge:

and the VLVAPR2012 Week One Sketch Challenge:

The DP's are Botanicals (Prima) and Rustic Cream (PTI). The large butterfly was made with a Spellbinders die and the smaller butterflies are made with a Martha Stewart punch. The beautiful gate was cut on my Cricut with the Ornamental Iron 2 Cricut cartridge. The sentiment is from a stamp set that I do not know the name of.

I can't wait to celebrate this special anniversary with my friends!
