Sorry for your loss

Hello blog friends! I hope everyone is doing well!
I wanted to share a card that I made with a couple of challenges in mind!

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikMs25hVngLfyRQpszI2rgxTcBNbic_ncNvCdmrCAqWv-3f_DjDWxTdAyEGBoSTTG2sAkt2QjF09S_z1TBA8dWebo6FIgwtyEVq1VtlZlq1aemvsnw4_2k9vQ-BI70LzABEnWMsVLColsM/s200/VLVOct11Week4Sketch.jpg

And the colors are from CR84FN Color Challenge:

This turned out to be a very simple card, but a difficult card for me to do!
I don't know if it was the colors, or what! Or my creative juices just weren't wanting to work!
In the end it turned out prettier than what I had anticipated, but not like what I had envisioned!
Do you ever have one of those days????

I hope the ghosts and goblins don't scare you too much tonight! hoohahaha!!!!!!!!
This is my little Goblin!

Happy Halloween!

Treats for my friends!

These are a few of the treat boxes I have made for some friends!
I had so much fun making these!

I cut 2 pieces of black paper 71/4 x 4 1/4.
Then I put them together and ran them thru the Big Shot
with the smallest Spellbinder Rectangle to make the handles.
I used the MS Drippy Goo punch on the bottom of the orange DP.

The images are various Halloween stamps that I have in my stash.
They are from Stamps of Life, Stampin Up, My Pink Stamper and I don't know?!

Next, take small white Kraft bags and cut to 4" tall from the top.
Adhere a plain black panel to one side of the shortened bag and a decorated black panel to the other side of the bag. I used sticky tape so it would be extra strong when I added candy to the bags.

I cut some tiny strips of orange and black paper. I ran them through my crimper tool, to make some decorative strips to throw in the bags to give them some umph!
Finally, I tied some creepy ribbon onto the handles.

I think I will enter these into the Just Us Girls Challenge!
This weeks challenge is to design a 3D/Template with a Halloween theme!

Batty For You!

It's almost Halloween!
Have any of you been in your candy that you bought yet?
Maybe i have, maybe i haven't!

I made this cute little card for the CAS-ual Fridays Card Challenge for this week:
CFC24:  Create a Clean And Simple Halloween project with NO orange.
 Not even a tiny spot!

I immediately thought of my "Mini Monsters" Cricut cartridge.
I chose this little mini Dracula. Isn't he precious?

I added Glossy Accents to his hair to add shine.
Gave him some googly eyes.
Put Stickles on his little fangs
(every Dracula needs white sparkly teeth!)
Added a sparkly brad to his bowtie.
Red rhinestones for his vest to make him debonair!
And ta da...
a very handsome dude!

Thanks so very much

Another day...another card challenge!

I must admit this Play Date Cafe Color Challenge #103 was a little daunting for me!
The colors were:
Storm ~ Rust ~ Deep Sea

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSyPFNwxxpvPN3L-M8vena3Qfn2JCVciKgNPjzO6opGU-A6iSvrAzopiwC4XBwvjTrbC8ypCJEOQPj0SKBN4HvcuGwv02almzCqPdUxRmpl99nJ5QfX4MPq2xiOpjg0hgOcuBrtv6d6v5k/s1600/0color+story.jpg

I had to really think about this one. I decided to use the Viva la Verve October Week 3 Sketch Challenge by Maureen Plut.

[VLVOct11Week3Sketch3.jpg]

I made the flower with the Prima Donna Petals (MFT Die-Namics) die.
This is such a cool die! Isn't this flower fabulous??

The entire flower is made with this die! I love the 3-D aspect.
However, you must use a glue gun when making this flower. Regular glue or adhesive would not hold the petals together. I then placed it on one of the cuts that I made with the
Fleur De Lis Accents (Spellbinders) die.

You Mean the World to Me!

Happy Saturday everyone! Another beautiful day to enjoy our gorgeous Carolina weather...
but I was inside...STAMPING!!!!!!!! I felt so guilty..NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! heehee
My card today has been made with 2 challenges in mind.

designed by Teresa Kline.
And the colors

Red ~ Brown ~ Kraft

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMvL7avFojuobOD7R1UScqBMtKw29kdjZ2C8pRPBZhg51ydVt2PrUi2vkAm-9RgEu83xgLyCJwaGeRtJc_50dKqV-Ddo9RlPraFQsf3lOC5Y6Q4IcDmFyJnIj4DYR-pPEReqLVEcfiurA/s1600/CR84FN40+Graphic.jpg
I did lots of different things to this card.
First I pulled out my Sew Easy and stitched the scallops with brown thread on both sides of the card.
I then ran it thru the Big shot with a Cuttlebug folder. I do not know the name of this folder, but it looks like wood grain. I cut the Circles and Lacey Circles in the designer paper with Spellbinders.

The heart is from  the Love Notes (Verve) stamp set,  which I hand cut after I stamped it.
I then adhered it to some Tim Holtz Grungeboard to give it some depth. I inked ALL the edges with Early Espresso (SU) Ink. I then tied a heart charm to the heart.

The branch behind the flower is a Memory Box Die called Woodland Branch.
I punched some little flowers in the red and added brown rhinestones for the centers.
The sentiment (Hero Arts)was then stamped on a banner that I had cut with the die from
Paper Trey Ink called the Double-Ended Banner.

Spooky!

Boooooo!!!!!

Tis the season for spiders and ghosts and goblins...oh my!

I had lots of fun making this card. My colors were inspired by the color challenge this week at

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpWNlBy6AMpcU-E2D4ZMGmoWI97bHy2TSRcgAdRbGalFm_pUxbSGHMFwwDAl6Q4VV21iaQddjkTGgMdpySeuDyKAfCzzyc23eKX-sx5H0T-_92t9JmS_pOqOeXnP1E0yJ07JMmX4ozfC-7/s1600/0color+story.jpg

I made the water colored background with stamping inks. I watched a tutorial from a
Stampin Up demonstrator who has the greatest web site. I used Color Box Ink by Stephanie Bernard. Love, Love, Love these new inks! I took an aqua marker and wet the entire piece of watercolor paper.  I dipped my aqua marker into the different inks and painted the watercolor paper. The ink spreads onto the paper and makes this really cool background.

I stamped the Spider Web (Stamps of Life)with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.
I also stamped and heat embossed the larger spider (Stamps of Life) and then punched it out with a circle punch. I added some wiggly eyes to the spider...tied some black floss to make a tag and attached it to the top of the card.
Finally, I added purple satin ribbon and tied it in a pretty bow!

Wishing you...

As you can see...my inspiration for this card
was the current CR84FN Color Challenge!

I made these pumpkins with 3 different size oval punches!
Cut 3 ovals, ink the edges and attach to each other to form a shape of a pumpkin.
The leaves are from a Martha Stewart punch and I  cut freehand the stems.
To complete the pumpkins, I tied a piece of twine around the stems.
I learned about these pumpkins from a Stampin Up demonstrator last year! So cute!

The sentiment is from the Wishing You (Verve) stamp set. you know i love my Verve stamps!

Thank You

Hello Friends! Hope everyone is having a great day. It is GORGEOUS here in North Carolina!
Blue skies and and temperatures in the high 60's.  I love autumn!

My husband asked me to make a Thank You card for a colleague of his. He wanted to give a special thank you to someone who has really gone out of their way to help him with a big project. I was flattered! So I needed some inspiration and I found it at the...

The colors Wine...Smudge...Leather...Parchment
 are rich and elegant!

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9gRQcUIWLZMueIFqLR_UURu_9InytfYbwpr5zWTOcWuhKLRdbRGXfDnWGEbG01uYQrcbNcIvaHzQgJxuRevlJd_fA5cEiNc7rZdTfnTdpm6PNi6McFOBdoEHlJ69mGqCow2jKBj7Whm9g/s1600/0color+story.jpg

I chose papers from K&Co.'s Que Sera Sera, Basic Grey Urban Prairie and Tim Holtz' Vintage Shabby.
I inked all the edges with Early Espresso (SU). I think this really added a richness to the paper.
The flower is cut from the Floral Circles (Verve) dies. I inked the edges and crumbled the paper before layering the flower together. I added a SU brad for the center. The doily like design behind the flower was cut with the Decorative Frames die (Sizzix). I also distressed the panel behind the flower.

I finished the card with some real pretty embroidery lace and brown ribbon that I had in my stash.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

And the sketch for this card is the Viva La Verve October Week 1 Sketch!
