Thank You Gift Set

Here is the set of Thank You cards that I was talking about in my last post.  I had so much fun making these cards. I wanted to try to utilize the same stamp set as much as possible, and use clean and simple designs. I think I accomplished this very well with this branches4flowers (Stamps of Life by Stephanie Bernard) stamp set. It is such a versatile stamp set! I also used the Make a Statement (Verve) stamp set on the card with the little birdie.  I once again used my new Color Box by Stephanie Bernard ink pads. I just love the colors! They stamp great!

This type of style is different for me. It is hard for me to figure out how to balance the negative space.
I love visiting the blogs which feature CAS cards. So I am inspired to try to learn! But my first love will always be cards with lots of layers and bows and ribbons! I'm too much a girly girl to give all that up!

I hope you are doing well! I and My son are almost well!!!!! Yea!!!!
We take him home next week and I am going to miss him!
Happy stamping!

Thanks So Very Much

Hello...I've missed this so much! Hopefully I will be sharing more creations than I have in the last few weeks. My finger is almost well and we will be taking our son back to Raleigh next weekend. My son has been doing remarkably well healing from his ankle surgery! And it has been a blast having him home again. But, I know he is ready to get back to his life in Raleigh, especially seeing his girlfriend (who I think is adorable!) on a regular basis, rather than every 2 weeks! Also he will be looking for a new job! Unfortunately he had just gotten laid off 2 weeks before his accident! So please pray for him. He is an amazing man and I know God will watch over him!

Now on to my card for this challenge!
I have been a member of her stamp club for almost 2 years! So I was very excited to see that she was the sponsor for this challenge! I just love her stamps! And now she has a new line of Ink pads!

I chose the newest Stamps of Life Stamp of the Month stamp set branches4flowers for my card:

The sentiment and little birdie are from new stamp set by Verve called Making a Statement.
The challenge asked for embossing, so I heat embossed the letters and the little birdie. I then colored the little birdie with Copic Markers. I outlined the leaves with a Spica Marker (Clear) to add a little sparkle. The camera did not pick up the sparkle or the heat embossing very well, but IRL it looks really cool! I also punched the upper right corner with an EK Corner Paper Punch.

I am making some more cards with these stamps from Stamps of Life to make a gift set for a very special lady who just came into our lives. I want her to know how much we appreciate her, so I thought I would make her a set of cards. I think they will turn out really pretty, because this stamp set is so versatile!

Thanks for stopping by! I really enjoy hearing from you!

Hello!

Quick update! My son is doing better! He is still home with us. He misses being in his own apartment, but secretly...I'm loving having him here! And I had to have minor surgery on my hand last week, so...not much stamping around here! I haven't been posting, but I have been reading everybody's blogs! Hope to have something to share soon!
Thanks for stopping by!
