The Big "60"

Hello everyone!
I made this card for a very special friend!
It was made with the Cricut "Create a Critter" cartridge.
I then stamped some little flowers from the Stamps of Life and colored them with Copic markers.
The phrase was found on the computer.
Enjoy!

VLVJAN2011 Week 4

The last of this month's Verve Viva La Verve Sketch Challenges!
I really had fun making these cards this weekend! I have uploaded them to the Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. The winner wins a free stamp set from Verve stamps ! Wish me luck!

Once again I used the same DP paper, plus some blue card stock that I had on hand.
As you can see... I used several Nestabilitie dies for the center piece.
I used the circles, squares, eyelet scalloped circles and Labels 1!!!
The sentiment is stamped with Verve stamps set: Circular Sayings
I sponged all the edges with the Colorbox Chalk Ink in Chestnut Brown.
I attached 4 tiny button brads at each corner. I adhered this with dimensionals.
I used the Open Scallop Border Die from Die-Namics My Favorite Things .
I layered it with green and DP paper. I then added some dark yellow ric rac ribbon.
Hope you like it!

VLVJAN2011 Week3

This is my third sketch for the Verve challenge!
I used the same DP as the last 2 sketches.
The frame was cut with the Nestabilities Polka Dot Frame. Isn't it adorable! I got this on sale at AC Moore after Thanksgiving. This is the first time that I've used it!  I'll definitely use it again!
I sponged the frame, heart and the paper panels with ColorBox Chalk Chestnut Brown Ink.
I used white opal Liquid Pearls and outlined the frame and the heart. I think it added a little pizazz!
I then added some tiny paper flowers and made their centers with the Liquid Pearl, too. I adhered it to the card with dimensionals.
The heart is a stamp from the Verve: Love Notes. I stamped it with SU ink in Blue Brocade, then cut it out and placed it with dimensionals.

I used a Martha Stewart punch along the bottom panel and then added some liquid pearls to that.
I put some crochet lace around the frame, then added a tan ribbon.
Hope you like!

VLVJan2011 Week 2

This is the second sketch. I really enjoyed this sketch!
I used the same DP "My Reflections"-Splendor
and the blue & white dotted paper is from "My Mind's Eye".
The stamps are Verve:TEXT OBJECTS
I stamped the little boat twice. I used Copic markers to color it, then I cut one of them out and paper pieced it to the second boat. It gave it lots of dimension! I thought this paper looked cute with this little boat. Like the clouds are in the horizon!
I  used the Circls & Eyelet Circle Nestabilites Die. I also used the Open Scallop Die-Namics die from My Favorite Things; button twine from Paper Trey; and a cute little button from my stash.
Hope you like it!

Verve Sketch VLVJan2011 Week 1

I am stamping 4 cards this weekend! I wanted to participate in the 4 sketches that Verve Stamps is doing this month. I will have to work hard because they are due January 27!
I want to do all 4 cards using the same DP! Wish me luck!
Designer paper:My Reflections:Splendor
I cut 4 different size panels. I sponged the edges and then adhered them onto a card of green card stock. I pierced around all 4 panels. This is hard to see in the photo.
The sentiment is from the Verve stamp set: TEXT
I then placed 3 gold rhinestones, 3 Mulberry Paper Prima flowers, a blue button from my stash and twine from the Paper Twinery in the color Lemonade.
Enjoy!

Giving Thanks

I have been neglecting my scrapbooking projects.....so I decided to start with my wonderful son and his favorite pastime...sleeping! Even though we spent Thanksgiving this year at my sister's house, it wasn't a problem for my son to hunker down and take it easy! Of course I just had to take a picture!
                                                                          Enjoy!

                                                       Paper: Bazzill, DP Hobby Lobby

Tags!

My scrapbook group is having an all day Christmas Crop this Saturday!
I know....we are a little late. but this was the first day that we could all get together!
We have 20 ladies in our group and you can imagine how hard it is to get that many people together at one time.  About 8-10 of us ladies meet every Monday night at a church fellowship hall. We have so much fun! We try to have an all day crop at least once every 3 months....so we can all get together!

Any hooo......these are the tags that I made for my gift bags that I'm taking to the ladies!
I need to add ribbon or twine. I haven't decided which yet!
They will be attached to little white paper bags. I think they are going to turn out very cute!

The tags are cut with a die that I just LOVE by Verve Stamps.
I used the petite oval dies by Spellbinders to cut the ovals in the center.
I then added dots around the edge of the oval with a Spica Pen in Pitch Black
The Santa hats were cut on my CRICUT with the "Joys of the Season" cartridge.
The stamped sentiment is from Stampin Up "Holiday Tag Team"
And I added a red rhinestone by Queen & Co.

Thanks for stopping by!

OK....I'm a copycat!

But isn't imitation the best flattery, or something like that?

I saw this card design on the Gallery of Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard. made by Beverly S., who is one of her design team members. I just loved it! I needed to make some Thank You cards and I thought this design would be perfect!I think it is clean and crisp.

Stamps: Stamps of Life butterfly2build: flower2doodle
                Ink: Archival Ink; Colorbox Chalk
                Copic Marker: YG03
                Gold rhinestone

I stamped the small butterfly panels in black and green ink. I then cut out each one.  I used  a Zig 2-way glue pen, and glued the black ones into a flower pattern. I then drew a stem with the Copic Marker. And the glued the 2 flower petals to the stem. I rounded the edges and attached to black card.

Example # 2:
I made this one using the larger butterfly panels. a yellow button, instead of a rhinestone
and some ricrac ribbon for the stem.
Hope you enjoy!
 Thanks for visiting!

Sending You... Butterfly Kisses -CPS Sketch#199

I love the stamps from The Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard.  A friend told me about these stamps and her website. I have been hooked ever since! She has a great Stamp of the Month club. I have been a member almost a year now. I especially love her videos! Very funny! You must check her out! Anyways....she has hooked up with the CPS-Card Sketches blog this week and I thought I'd give it a whirl!
This is my creation! Unfortunately, I can't seem to capture the beauty of this card on camera:).
(It really is prettier in person!)

The base of the card is the light brown dotted-swiss by Bazzill.
The designer paper is from K & Co/Brenda Walton -Madeline collection.
The center Circle and Scalloped Circle were cut  with Spellbinder Nestabilities Dies
I sponged all the cardstock with Colorbox Chalk ink in Chestnut Roan. I use this color a lot. Love it!
Stamp set is butterfly2build by Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard
I stamped the butterfly on white and then I stamped it again on the DP and pieced this butterfly over the one stamped on the white cardstock.
I then used Stickles in Diamond and outlined all the lines of both butterflies.
I wanted to add a  little glitz!

And of course...the inside!
 Hope you enjoyed this post!
